| ![]() I have been feeding my 7-year-old, 8-lb Yorkie, Purina ProPlan, but doganalysis says it is bad food. So, in my quest for a new food, I have read pages and pages in this section. Alot of the dry foods do not show you the size of the "bites." Awhile back, a manager at a store that carries the premium brand told me that small dogs really need to eat regular sized dog food because the chewing is good for them. Any thoughts about the size of dry food bites for my sized Yorkie? |

| ![]() Although I agree that the food needs to be changed, you might want to wait til after you do the bile acids test. You may end up needing to change again. Natural Balance and a few other companies have kibble designed for small dogs...small bites. They are still chewing, it's just more appropriate for their mouth size.

| ![]() All mine love Canidae All Stages of Life, the kibble is just right for an adult yorkie. Natural Balance, Solid Gold, Chicken Soup and Fromm are also good choices. |
