Hello Everyone!!
Are you enjoying the beginning of your Christmas Season? I am trying to get ready....... we have our Christmas with the kids NEXT weekend! So I am scrambling this weekend. Shopping, wrapping, and packing!! I have everyone done, except for 3 giftcards. But I do have a few (20) more to wrap. I think that our family has grown to the point that next year the adults will get ONE item and a gift card. (Then they can shop for themselves when everything goes on sale AFTER Christmas!! ) The Grandkids, of course, wil still get "shopped for".
I went to the mall in Lexington Ky yesterday........ and it was so busy... it took me 40 minutes to GET OUT of the parking lot to go home!! Good thing hubby wasn't with me.... it would have driven him NUTS !!! If we are in a recession, it sure didn't show it at the mall. Maybe a GOOD sign of the times........
I really think that it WOULD get better if the media wouldn't make it sound so gloom. They have way to much impact on everything..... and most of the time it is Exaggerated and Way out of proportion. It is tough times, but to continue to hear how bad it is, keeps people from spending at all, and then it becomes a vicious circle. Maybe the govenment needs to give us a "bailout" from the media!!!

ANYWAY, I am so looking forward to seeing the Grandkids, AND getting to see one of my Grandsons in his FIRST Church Christmas Program!!! How exciting!!!!! Hopefully the weather will cooperate with us for our trip next week..(Michigan HERE WE COME!!!)

aww! You must be so excited to see your Grandkids. I hope the weather holds out for you! and I sooo agree with you on the media.

We're leaving for church in about half an hour. We're just going for the first hour, because my parents aren't feeling too good. But my youth group is singing. I'm excited for that. Then after that I have work for 4 hours. Then I guess I'll just come home, finish some homework, then go to bed and get ready for the week! I sure hope it goes by faster than last week. Last week was the longest year of my life!
