| ok my husband wanted me to get a job for myself to get out and for the kids to go to the babysitters, money was tight at the time i started looking last week i got a decline letter from a business...i called an asked was there a specific reason...just that someone was more flexible and closer well that person worked one day and didnt come back so they called me and i admit i was a little excited and took the job its filling for 4 hours M-F for 4 hours aday..not hard work...but i dont fit in there at all anyways..my husband just got accepted at another business making ALOT more money...i had my first day today..and i guess im a little spoiled in some ways..but i have 2 kids a 3 year old, a 9 month old 3 yorkies and 7 baby yorkies...my 9 month old keeps me up half the night with teething, and im just tired! and my husband acutally came home and cooked for me..but now my house is a mess again and i dont have the next day to clean it because i will have to get up, get everyone ready and leave..not to mention that..it will take me about 45 minutes to an hour every day i go to one side of town for the babysitter and another for work..quarter of a tank of gas a day!..im only making 10 and hour for 20 hours a week!! after taxes and daycare and gas i bring home maybe 50 bucks i dont think its worth it...plus i havent worked i a long time and i guess im just not feeling it..my husband just thinks its funny that i didnt make it a day..i used to work all the time..started at 15, in school and still worked 40 hours a week..up until i had my second son....i really really dont feel like going back tomorrow..and the whole money thing is bothering me i feel like im making no money its not worth it to me to work and not bring but $50 bucks home a week... so this is what i have come up with so far not go in or call..just mail them their key thing...(never done this before) go in or call them and talk to them about changing the schedule from M-F 10-2 to M-W-F 6.5 hours a day go in and tell them its not worth it finacially make up a really good excuse why i cant work (already got one lined up too =) let me know what you think |

| I would leave too. The reason why I don't work is BF earns enough for me not to. Amelia is 9months too, as you know, and she is keeping me up all night also with her teeth, like now it's 2.50am, we've been up ages and she's certainly not settling anytime soon. I certainly could not get up and go to work... I have all on getting dressed each day. ![]() When I've left a position before I've actually just stopped going, no one even phoned me either and i had and still do have a security fob for the door.

| My opinion: I think you need to give two weeks written notice. I think you need to be professional because one day you may need to rely on them as a reference. Be honest, you could say something like you just feel it's not a good fit and your husband has just received another position that will allow you to stay home. Tell them you are giving them two weeks to give them time to find someone. I am not sure what type of work it is but this is my opinion.

| Wow!!! You do have a lot on your plate to be working at a job you don't like and only bringing home $50 per week. If you enjoyed the time away from home and the work it would be a different story. I wouldn't stay if you can finanically afford not working. It might be wise, though, to give a two weeks notice. Just do what is best for you and your family. Hugs. Joanne

| I agree that you should quit the job. But, you might want a job in the future, so you want to leave them with a good feeling, if you can. I would go in and talk with them and tell them the honest truth. I think they will understand that you can't go to all that trouble for $50 a week. If they don't understand, then it's their problem, you did the right thing. |
