| ![]() Hey guys. I found a dog on nextdaypets.com and I emailed the breeder to find out about price/shipping. I really would prefer to pick up a dog so I can play with it and see it beforehand, but this puppy is too far away. Do you suggest not buying online, and have you heard any stories about this site? Also, what kinds of questions should I ask the seller? I appreciate everyone's help soo much, I want to make sure I'm not supporting a puppy mill or anything like that. Thanks!!

| ![]() So many are ripped off...I would only buy if you know others who have gotten healthy pups and exactly what the breeder said it will be...and anyone who does not speak directly to the breeders vet is foolish...some will back off and refuse to even talk to you when asked the vet question...what does that tell you? |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | ![]() I would never buy a puppy on-line; this is one of the main ways puppy mills sell puppies. I think the best site for finding ethical breeders is the YTCA. Yorkshire Terrier Club of America About The Club The human society has a pamphlet on finding a good dog. http://www.hsus.org/web-files/PDF/Good_breeder.pdf , and YorkieTalk had a recent thread about this very topic, and one of our members thought up a very good list of questions. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/gen...ml#post1900263, but you may need to do more reading before you understand what the right answers are. Don't take shortcuts, hopefully this pet will be with you at least 10-15 years and you want to make a wise choice.

| ![]() When you find a place you are interested in getting a dog from I would post the name here and ask if anyone knows anything about that place that way you will get feedback from people on here....with all these yorkies people got them from some place so hopefully they will have feedback for you!! Good luck with your search.
