Does anyone know how to watermark photos?

Hi, I recently had someone take photos from my myspace which I really didn't care about as it was someone I knew. What really got me was I help instruct a dance class and started a site so the students could see themselves and their progress. Well, one of the other Lead dance instructors took the photos off my site and posted them on their site. I was then mad because they didn't give me any credit for pictures that I took with my camera. I hear there's a way to block people from taking your photos but my new site doesn't have that feature. Someone else suggested that I watermark the pictures for my new site. I've seen photo's watermarked before and I would like to try it. Do I need to purchase a program, or is there a program with that feature already on these computers?

My site is something simple, it's not one that I laid out a lot of money for. I've had one from www.simplesite.com., and I've looked into freewebs, Yahoo and others. I should've suggestions on sites that weren't to expensive to allow me to block photos. It was to late because I already started one?

there is a downloadable program that you can use. I use to have it on my old computer...let me go see if I can find it again.
