|  Royce + Kitten =Big Dilemma  Ok I have a problem here, Royce barks in the morning when I leave for work so I have an agreement with my neighbor she keeps him with her till about 10 AM ( when she leaves for work ) . My neighbor recently got a kitten so I have to return the favor and keep the kitten with me till 7 PM since I finish work earlier then her ...the thing is that Royce doesn't like the kitten at all whenever I bring the kitten to my apartment Royce goes to my bed and stays there and I can feel he is not comfortable with the kitten the kitten doesnt go near him either ...) what should I do ??? Shouldnt they be playing with each other ??? |

| When I first brought home my 5 mo. old Yorkie our huge part-Himalayan kitty-cat was determined to kill him. A few months later they became best of friends, playing until both are exhausted. (Chipper now weighs 4.5 lbs.) It's amazing what time and patience can accomplish.  Joanne   |

| Give them time, and give each their own space until they are ready to share. Don't force the kitten onto Royce and vice-versa. Try to engage them both in play at the same time, like with a laser light or a small ball. Give Royce everything first (food, water, attention).
