![]() We go to obedience class at Petsmart every week, and there is woman there with her Golden Retriever who has told me about her 3 year old yorkie at home (i wondered why he wasn't in class). Apparently he is not potty trained and refuses to do so. This woman is fed up but doesn't really want to give him up, when she saw how much I love Pita and dote on her etc.. she asked me if I wanted her Yorkie!! ![]() Of course I wanted to say yes, BUT my hubby would never put up with it, i had to beg for 5 YEARS for Pita and thank goodness she is perfect and potty trained so he loves her. He wouldn't love a dog with problems, even if I could rehabilitate or train him(the dog, not hubby) I really enjoy just having Pita. SO I said no, and tried to talk to her about belly bands and alternate training methods, but she is really down on this poor guy. I wish I was in a different position! She isn't going to just "give" him to someone, she only offered him to me because of how I am with Pita. I am going to talk to her about a rescue program. It was just weird, when I was so desperate for a Yorkie this never happened to me!! Just thought I'd share the story...

![]() Maybe you could take him long enough to place him in a GOOD home??? You just never know what kind of life that poor thing could be living, just waiting for some sunshine to come into his life..maybe you are his sunshine...to help him find a new home???? Oh good luck. I know this isn't easy.

![]() Sometimes people need a little push when they don't want to listen. Maybe you could get a couple of belly bands and give them to her. Tell her to try them out. Maybe she would see that he is a good pet otherwise and he's worth not giving up on. I hate the thought of a 3 year old pet being rehomed. It must be so devastating for the dog. In fact if you think it is a good idea, I will make her some free.

![]() I don't know this lady that well, I asked her if she went on YT and she said no like I was pathetic or something, my kids call me dorkietalk... So it's not really my place to find him a home, but damn! I wish I could take him and make him better! If it's possible, I'm in no way a trainer! I just think that where theres a will there's a way and if not there's belly bands and poochiepants!

![]() ChloeandJ you are soooo nice! Tomorrow night is actually our last class, I will try to talk to her some more. It's not that he's in a bad place, this lady is really nice, she just knows it's not the best situation for him. I will see what she is willing to do if I talk to her tomorrow. It was just a passing offer but I could tell she wanted me to say yes. My hubby just won't, we work full time and I just can't help him. Pita is so good here at the office and he would need more structure than I can give him. Pita has been raised with our craziness this lil guy seems like he doesn't even go out in the car much. Coming to us at this point would be VERY traumatic for him.

![]() She just needs to get passed his pee pee problem. Belly bands are so easy, it would allow her to have him participate with the family with no worry at all. She would be less frustrated and be able to love him more. Some people feel like their dog just shouldn't need to have it, they should know to go potty outside and refuse to use bellly bands. I hope she atleast considers it. If nothing else, tell her to tie a sock around his sprinkler!

They had a female but she past away earlier this year and they were heart broken and Bai-nah misses his playmate. I know they are talking with a breeder about a puppy but that will be months away. We live here in Tallahassee so I know he would drive to get it. If you can find out any info about it I will talk to Tom when he gets back on Monday. |

![]() I wish you can take the dog. But I know is not that simple. Maybe she will give the ballybands a try. Or maybe she can join YT so we can help her like Stewie's mom said.
