Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Milestones / Progress In Animal Welfare The subject of Animal Welfare is often disheartening as we have so far to go in our efforts to make the world a better/safer/less-cruel place for animals. But, on the hopeful side of things - this thread is to keep track of positive or important or meaningful milestones in the Animal Welfare / Protection movement. This is not a thread for discussing whether or not you support these organizations or agree with their tenets, nor is it a place for arguing about Animal Welfare / Rights. Let's just celebrate what *has* been accomplished in making the world a better place for animals. If you have a certain Animal Welfare organization you'd like added, please say so in a post below and I'll then add its "milestones" page to this first post. MFA (Mercy For Animals): Undercover Investigations of Factory Farms and Slaughterhouses ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals): ASPCA Field Investigations and Response Team | ASPCA CAPS (Companion Animals Protection Society): Investigation Reports & Videos PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment for Animals): PETA's Milestones Noah's Wish: Noahs Wish Disasters HSUS (Humane Society of the United States): Victories : The Humane Society of the United States

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | It's unfortunate that you have to be perceived as a radical to bring about any change in this country, but even those who marched for women's' rights to vote were perceived that way. There may be elements of any group in which we don't believe or we view as radical, but they have often done some very positive things and made this place a better world for animals and humans.
