Hey you all know that Linda is having a lot of problems right now so I hope you will consider helping her with YHR.

Remember you can go to the website and click on the Amazon link before shopping there. That way a portion of your purchase goes to YHR. Also there are always neat things to buy on the website.

Of course I cant solicit funds here but if you read between my lines...........

Thank you so much, Lou, for thinking of YHR! :) Yes, that Amazon link is a good one. There are a lot of people who use it....it's a great way of helping. So many people shop online and there are links for most places they shop at. The companies are willing to donate a percentage to charity which is really awesome. IGive is another one!

Times are rough for people and these things are great for helping when people want to help but cannot donate cash. Everyone has to shop for something!

This weekend I will work on shorts for boys....if I get what I want I will donate a few once i get them all made up...also do you want me to do a few shirt collars? that would be good for the hot weather ..for the boys to wear and still be kool! lol last time we chatted you wanted more boy stuff.

We can use ANYTHING!!! Even non dog related things. We turn anything we get our hands on into money at that show!! :D

I've been rolling an idea around in my head. What about putting together a gift card tree? I would be willing to collect them and people could contribute whatever the felt they could spare. Then I have a crafty friend in Texas that can put it together.

yhr needs donations to help the pups! Raffles and gift trees in addition to raise money to help the pups.

I just went through the Yorkie Haven Rescue site to place an order on Amazon but no where did my confirmation say anything about Yorkie Haven Rescue getting any kind of credit. Has anyone else gone through YHR to order from Amazon? Did you get any kind of notification that YHR was involved in your order?

I buy quite a few books and you can tell it is going throough if you look at the address at the top of the page. I think Linda told me that she gets a small check from them regularly.

When you connect, just take a look at the url window. It will have Yorkie Haven Rescue in that url.....here is what it looks like:

My DH orders alot off E bay and Amazon. He now has strict instructions to go through Yorkie Haven Rescue whenever he orders something. I feel bad that we haven't been doing this in the past. We will be mending our ways in the future.

Lou, I'm not at all crafty, but I will donate a couple of gift cards...let me know how to get them to you.

Couple of questions

Lou when you are saying gift cards are you meaning any type of gift card (like to restaurant) or just pet related? When do you need them by? I put a certain amount towards charity each month and if you didn't need them for awhile could send a few each month!

Also-thanks for letting me know about amazon...I don't do a lot of shopping from there but will now make a more concerted effort to go through YHR and see if what I need to be can be found on amazon!!! :)

I have a shortcut on my desk so I don't even have to go to YHR. I just went there and clicked on the link then created a shortcut.

And bless you too! I think any kind of gift card would be great and we don't need them till July. Is that right Linda?
I will be keeping track of donations too so YHR can verify your donations for tax purposes.

I would say June...we need to get things in order so we can make the flyer and get it out in advance. Last year we cut it too close and a few people missed out and were disappointed. My vet's office was one.

We have not set a date yet...but I am guessing the cut off will be around June 15th
