I can see how the law would make a lot of USDA licensed kennels go out of business, but it does nothing for unlicensed, uninspected puppy mills who are already subverting the law. We don't need new laws, we need the money to enforce the current laws. I am as sick as anyone about puppy mills. I want them all shut down, but I think there is a better way to do it than just passing new laws. The new law also makes it a misdemeanor to breed a bitch back-to-back heat cycles. I know a few breeders on YT that would have a criminal record.

I wish they would get this law in New Hampshire, there is a pet store in the Pheaant Lane Mall that does not have good facilities for there puppies,we know thy come from puppy mills and I went in there to look and there was a schnoodle puppy in a small cage with only wire to layon and he was going back and forth like he was just wanting out and it was close to closing time and you know they shut the lights out and that good sized puppy was in there for the night,how cruel, that store should be closed down.

The sad thing is that many PMs and BYBs do not believe that's what "they" are. They feel that they do it nicer or better...... but in the end it's the same outcome. Too many puppies, not enough responsibility for the puppies they bring into this world. It's got to stop!

This is a great start though, yay!!!
