New Dock Diving Place Very excited today we go to try out a new dock diving place. Found the person on line, and got the name and stuff. Just a tad worried as they say they are on the backroads of SW Ontario; and I know what that means! Leave plenty of time; cause I'm likely to get lost! There locale I couldn't find on mapquest, so I did find a zoo near to them, and that was on mapquest! They have a big saltwater pool. I'm going to take my camera, and video, and see if I can get some pics. Also going to shop this am, for one of those underwater cameras like Alaska Mike has. Such fun. I was going to a show today, but changed my mind, when this opportunity arose. I'll have to go Sunday, cause I promised some folks to evaluate their young dogs..... Plus I need to shop again:D:D Stay tuned I'll let you know how it goes! |
Get lots of pics and videos Gail!!!! I love to see your gorgeous dogs in action around the water!!! |
I'm excited for you as well. Going to be a beautiful day today! Have fun, looking forward to seeing pictures/stories of your adventures. |
Woohoo! That's awesome. Pics are a must. :) |
Awh just home now, have the pups fed, and my pictures are transferring to the puter. There are 1500 or so...eek - many will be blank shots as I just set the camera on interval shooting. Two of the other gals had video cameras, as did the teacher Heather. We had a great time, someone even came from Buffalo! Wow that's dedication for you. We had 2 border collies, one Bearded Collie, one Terrier cute boy(dang I have to look up his breed), my blackie, my yorkie, and I think I'm missing a dog. There was also a massive amount of rain late afternoon, with hailstones et al. It was a relief, I was feeling a tad overhot. I keep on forgetting how high 24" is above water, it took Magic a couple of tries before he felt comfy jumping off, and then bingo, away he went. Razzle did pretty good too. But he was stopping right at the edge and then leaping in. I hope that one day, he will take a running leap, like he does on the water docks we have been on. I'm exhausted now, and even the pups are lying quietly for a time. It might take me all wkend to delete the bulk of the photos. lol |
We went again Same place, this time DH came with me. Wow was it ever busy on a Saturday. We had to wait for a long time, and hubby wanted to leave, we were packing up to leave, and Heather the teacher, said oh no, don't go please. I said well, I have two very hot dogs, and my hubby has had enough. She said okay, look you can go up now onto the dock. Hubby smiled, and I said do you want to. Then of course was the "stickey" part; the teacher said who will be handling the big boy? I said well I think Dave, she said oh..... Dave said no problem you go up with the boy. Then Dave didn't "want" to take up Razzle..sigh...he said I don't know how to work with him! Razzle was a Big Hit. Many folks came up to the pool to see him jump in. He did Fantastic this time out. All had never seen a Yorkie dock dive. Magic did great too. Although he wasn't a crowd pleaser like the Razzman. I knew we would leave right after, and so we did. Hubby said he got some good pics; so I will upload them tonight and see what we have. |
Sounds like terrif fun! I watched Dogs 101 today and the part about the BRT showing that big boat of a dog swimming out to rescue a "drowning" man was so sweet! Said I think each one of their legs has the power of 4 human legs in the water or something like that. Just a wonderful breed! Made me want a big powerful dog again so bad!!! But I refuse to have a dog I can't lift alone in an emergency. And I could not get a 130 lb. dog up in my vehicle to save my life!!! I can barely get in it, let alone an unconscious dog weighing more than I do. |
Oh, you two are amazing with your babies, I can't wait to see all the great photos:thumbup: |

But still it is hard to maneuver a big dog who is unwell for sure. |
Oh, I would have a big dog in a heartbeat if I could vet one in an emergency but I am small and cannot lift very big dogs up into very big vehicles like I have. And I can't have a dog I can't get to the E.R. vet right away all on my own. I could never get a BRT alone into my truck! He could die right in my driveway while I struggled if no neighbors were home. |
Here come the pics 4 Attachment(s) So very pleased with some of the pics. Too bad they had their poster up. You really have to look to see Razzle. All pics are unedited, and I think maybe one will be on the BRT calendar;);) |
One more of Razzle 1 Attachment(s) Look close there is so much detail. I've only resized it but it is an amazing pic fo extension for the YOrkie |
LOL, the pics are wonderful! In the last one on the top row, it looks like Razzle is jumping right into the water on the poster:thumbup::D |
Oh what awsome pic's!!! Looks like so much fun. Hard to imagine our yorkies doing something like that, i am sure you are so proud of Razzel and Magic! |
Ty Perrella. I really need to edit this, so you can actually see my stupendous boy!:D:D Course I'm not prejudiced at all;) Just remember that this boy is in full show coat and wrapped too. Who the heck says show dogs don't have fun:p:p |
I just love the all the pics of Razzle being so active in his wraps! |

In the interests of full disclosure; there is some price we pay; which I don't care about. It has proven to be impossible for me to grow his moustaches long. It has some to do with the biting, grabbing, of toys. Even though his moustaches are wrapped they take a beating!. The rest, the body of the coat; the side pieces along the head, etc all are able to be kept. But it does take a lot of keeping. I need to rewrap after water work, and in pools I rinse off the chlorine or salt water, then oil and rewrap. |
These are super pics Gail!!! MAGNIFICENT, MAGNANIMOUS, MIGHTY, MAGIC!!! And of course, DYNAMIC, DAZZLE, RAZZLE!!! I LOVE this dock diving stuff!!! |
Beautiful pictures. |
I love both of your beautiful boys! They are both so gorgeous and so full of life and personality. The photos are amazing! I'm so glad that you were able to go again today. It looks like you had so much fun. To see Razzle move is a sight I will never forget. He is so beautiful in the show ring, not only seeing his gorgeous face and coat, but to see how he moves is so incredible. Razzle is such an athlete, but it's no surprise with Lola as his mom. She is quite a dog, and her little boy is spectacular! I really hope that someday I can meet your other stunning athlete because Magic has also captured my heart. |

So proud of my boys Heather the teacher, linked some of my photos on facebook, not sure how she did this but no problem. She said of Razzle; " He is the driviest Yorkie I've ever seen". Teehee, wait until she sees Lola his Mom. I'm hoping Ilona will be able to come next time out. In my mind this is big compliment, as working dog owners/trainers, always always want big Drive in their dogs. A dog with Drive, will literally do anything for you. She also said Magic was awesome too:) She absolutely loved that photo of him all extended and going for that toy! Now if Mom's could only throw straight out ahead of his face, I'd get more distance for him;) |
You have so much reason to be proud of your boys. You are so devoted to them, have accomplished so much with them, and yet you make life so much fun for them. You must beam with pride when you look at them. I can't wait until you go dock diving again. I love hearing about it and seeing your photos! |
Gail, Razzle is spectacular in his dives! Great job capturing them on film. Looks like your furbabies had a wonderful time. :) I can tell you did. You should be very proud. |
