Finally! I've been wanting to do it for a while, but the October class was full, so thought I was going to have to wait longer. Well, I got an email that they added another October class since the other class was waitlisted for so long!

Starting October 1st, every Saturday at 1:15, I'll be doing agility with Jackson. Super excited. Don't really know what to expect. While he's smart and catches on to things so fast, he's never been in a controlled class environment, so this will be a first for us! 8 weeks for $165.

The place looks really nice. Here's a picture of their agility yard.

I can't wait to hear about Jackson's training. I have a feeling he will be the star of the class!:)

That is so awesome! I'm certain Jackson will do excellent. I cannot even imagine bringing Cooper into a situation like that LOL:D

I'm excited for you and Jackson and can't wait to hear how he does. You'll have to be sure and keep us updated.:)

I've wanted to start Reno in agility but with my full schedule now I am so limited with time, plus I would have to travel 30 miles for any classes.

And that's a shame! My class is only about 20 minutes away, I'm so lucky I found this place. I hope you get to do it eventually.

I'm hoping I'll become friends with someone there, because I don't know how we're going to take pics if we're on the field! I started thinking about that.... lol. Of course I'll always have my phone and can bring my camera, so maybe I can ask someone to take some pix of us. :)

AWESOME! Yes, I did miss this thread. That place looks INCREDIBLE. All our facilities are indoors, and the one I attend is small. They can't even set up a full course there. Your place looks really nice. I'm thinking Jackson is gonna be a star. Eddie tends to be too cautious, and I don't think Jillie will ever have the speed, but Jackson's got all the tools. Make it fun, and he's gonna do great!

Looks like a great place. Get a tripod, and your friend can start the video when you go to the course, then you for her. If your camera has interval shooting mode on it, set up on the tripod, and snap auto pics, you can change where the camera is set up every so often:)

You and Jackson are going to have a blast!

I really believe Jackson will be brilliant at agility! You have a wonderful bond with him, he is use to learning new things from you and really seems to enjoy training. I wish agility had been around when I was your age! :D

I'm putting my money on Jackson being the star pupil, in the class...Hope you'll be able to capture some of his accomplishments in video...I know I speak for all Jackson's fan club, in that we can't get enough of him!

Thanks, Mike! Eddie is Jackson's role model :) hehe.

I always hear GREAT things about this place. A few people who frequent our dog park have little local meet-ups in the agility park and they say the staff is really accommodating and nice. :) Plus, the dog boarding/daycare gets great reviews.

I actually do have a little mini tripod for my Kodak playsport! ;) hehe. How much of a dork would I look like setting that up? :D:D

Not at all, if he's in good health, there's no reason why he can't learn it now.

I started a dog at seven and a half years old and she got her novice standard and jumpers titles at nearly nine years old.

I just hope I'm feeling better. I've been in bed for 2 days with, what I think, is the flu. Terrible. :( Plus, it's a downpour rainy day today! So I hope the weather ends up being nice!

I've gotta find super yummy treats that Jackson goes crazy over for agility. That's what the e-mail told me anyways. :) And small and easy to break up. He loves chicken jerky sooo much but I don't think that'd be very easy to break up into little pieces, so I may have to go with a 'crappy' treat with not-so-great ingredients, like those little Bil Jac treats. He's become picky about Zuke's lately, he often turns his nose up to them... so they're not a good motivator. Or maybe I'll bring real food like cheese, hot dog, etc. Any people who have done agility... what do you use?

I thin Blue is the best dog food company in the popular pet supply stores. They have soft treats that aren't that bad that my picky ones NUTS over. Or freeze dried treats are AMAZING in my little furbutts eyes/nose LOL ... good luck
