| My vet prescribed asprin for her when she was just a little girl and advised it was ok for this. As for Tylenol, I'm pretty sure I've heard that it was dangerous for dogs.

| ZsaZsa is getting around pretty good today and yesterday, running and even jumping up on the couch but she still isn't using that leg. She hasn't cried at all except for a couple whimpers when it first happened. I'll be calling the vet in the morning unless she makes a miraculous recovery over night.

| Piper fell off our bed a couple of weeks ago. She wouldn't use her back leg at all. So I rushed her into the Vet. He took xrays and kept Piper for the day to watch her. Just before they closed I got a call to pick her up. He gave her some pain medication, sent us home and told me to watch her. If she didn't get better in a few days to come back & he would take several more xrays of her smaller bones. Since they have so many tiny ones, the initial xrays wouldn't show if she had a break in a smaller one. In a few days she was up & running using her back leg. My Vet saved me some money on all the xrays he could have taken, but waited to. Hope ZsaZsa is alright. |

| I think you may want to have her checked for Luxating Patella (LP). Yorkies are very prone to it and it can be an immediate problem if caused by an injury. I do hope this isn't the case. |

| Had the scare of my life last night too. Freyja jumped out of my husband's arms onto the floor (about a 5 ft. drop) She was very excited that her little yorkie poo cousin was spending the night. She landed on her feet, yelped and whimpered a lot and I burst out crying! She was limping a bit last night, but I felt all her legs and nothing seemed out of place and she didn't react when I squeezed her legs. But I tell you I was shaky the rest of the evening. To top it off, Maggie (the yorkie poo) had gone into heat and was sprinkling blood everywhere she went! I tried to fashion a diaper out of a pee pad but it kept falling off. Maggie is also used to sleeping in bed with her mommy and daddy. (Freyja sleeps in her kennel). When I left them in the den for the night, Maggie put up such a fuss that I double layered the bed with old sheets and pee pads and Maggie "slept" (ha ha) with me. (Freyja in the kennel) This morning Freyja seems to be back to her old feisty self. Phew! What a day! |
