| What about Dr. Phillips? It seems pretty nice from the pictures and it says there is a separate area for small dogs! The only thing that scares me is that it says beware of poisonous snakes! http://www.orlandodogparks.com/parks...do_florida.php

Fleet does sound wonderful. My two are used to playing with Larger dogs so I am okay with this if everyone else is.

| OKAY the more I think about it and look at the reviews on the website I think we should stick with the West Orange Park. Reason being is Fleets looks like a regular park where all types of people come and a huge lake for swimming. It does say no off leash dogs on the weekend which means even if they do not enforce it, it can be enforced and what would be the point of that for all of us? West Orange may be noisy but if that is the only down fall I think that may be okay at least with me. I will feel comfortable knowing that my two little ones have a safe area they can run around in and not get trampled by big dogs. What do you guys think?

| So upset . I was so looking forward to meeting you guys. Family was supposed to come visit from up north week up 14th. Now due to lil brother's playoff basketball game being that weekend which my dad is the coach on the team. They're coming to Florida a week early and I haven't seen them since Christmas. So unless plans change unfortunately we won't be able to make it.

| I just finalized the plans So I am going to Ft. Lauderdale this weekend to finally see my son and his puppies in person! I have seen lots of photos and movies but now I will get to see them and pet them, too! I am overjoyed! I am not sure what you have decided, but I can't wait to meet you all next month, so make up your minds and let me know. I think hotels in West orange may be less expensive, too. Look for Winter Garden and Ocoee. I still think Fleet would be better but I definitely understand the security concerns. Zappa and Zoe are too flighty to handle such environments and are always on leash outdoors. They have stairs and a huge apartment to run in, outside to them is just for making do'. But West Orange is shady and clean and very safe, aside from being so close to the expressway. And there are toys for the dogs.

| I really really want to go to this meet up.. I will need directions to get there from tampa/zephryhills area... Also I want to take our small motorhome.. that way we can have it parked at the park.. so if I need it, I have it handy.. I do not want to be a long ways away from the motor home as it is home to my 4 furbutts.. So we can always go to a flying j and park the night.. as we have had to do that before..we make a little dog area right at our door... so we need not use leashes.. and we sit on a chair with them.. Also I have a dog stroller and a playpen.. I can bring in case some one needs to use it for the day.. some one with an older yorkie, a baby they do not want on the ground due to not enough shots.. I also have a small travel baby playpen that can be used also.. if anyone is really in need.. I will just bring them... I am pretty excited about this, and I think I saw a posting that said feb, so I thought I missed this meet up.. So any information, I might need to go to an area I am not familiar with, let me know on a post, or pm me.. thanks Ps.. my girlfriend here from florida sells dog hats and sun glasses, the sunglasses fit into the hats which keeps them in place.. she has a user name on YT but has never posted.. if anyone is interested I could bring some.. I think if you google daisy's dog hats.. you might find her.. she also sells carrier's and strollers and stuff.. she does all the huge flea markets and the fairs that have craft shows also.. again just let me know.. I can either talk her into going.. or I can bring stuff to anyone... |
