Oh man! I can't wait!!!! lol
it really should be today.I'm hoping it's before 11 pm! But these little stinkers love to whelp at 4 am! I am a zombie at that time lol

I felt her tummy just a minute ago and i dont think she had any contractions or at least that i know of. The puppies move just a little every once in a while they moved just now while she is laying on her back. Her temp right now is at 98.5 YEAH we have a low temp!!! Should i continue taking her temp or does that matter. Does that temp give me a time frame?

take temp at least every 2 hours...cause most have said on here that they had pups within 12 hours of a temp drop that lasted at least 3-4 hours

Genie i know what you mean she is resting up while we are all wide awake and just when we want to go to sleep bam they come say momma its time...LOL

I am soo hoping its not wee hours in the morning... Genie im not sure if you saw i got today off as well as tomorrow and the weekend. The only thing is i have to go in for a few hours sat morning. but some one will be here with little mama and babies while im gone... But i wont have to miss the whelping.... cause im sure its tonight with her nesting and her temp being at 98.5 right now. So we will see Yeah!!!!!

So if her temp stays down for at least 3-4 hours i should have them with in 12 hours???? IF thats the case GREAT!!!

like i said before im not a breeder ..but i have read that alot on here with breeders that believe in the temp thing....they sware by it

I was planning on recording the whelp but it only records like 5 min at a time and besides ,she didnt whelp at home!

Temperature CAN BE a good indication, but not always. Digging CAN BE a good indication, but again not always. Panting CAN BE a good indication, and again not always. BUT stretching her neck out, well that means a puppy is imminent. Sunshine's temp went up and down with her first litter, she dug very little, did not pant at all. The first sign I had of her labor was her stretching her neck. She was laying in bed with me and when I saw her stretching (she was at day 67 from first tie) I went to pick her up to place her in the whelping box and a baby popped right out. She never did pant or nest. Her second litter, again temp was all over the place, never nested, but she panted for hours, never pushed until we had taken her into the vet and they were getting her ready for a c-section.

Yeah i am going to try and do both. Pics and taping i want to definitely tape the actual birth and post it to somewhere you all can see if you want to that is.

Wow I just started catching up from last night. I think we might have pups today "Go Peyton". But I'm on my way to work, I don't want to miss this, so maybe I'll call in sick Lol. Or maybe she'll wait for me, it's only a 3 hour shift HE HE HE. anyways I hope all goes well, I'll check in asap. Update Doo Doo is doing good, she's eating much more now than when she was prego. All 6 pups have opened their eyes, and a couple of them actually barked at me yesterday, their begining to walk so now I really need to keep my eyes on them. I have found homes for 5 of them, and I have one male with no home yet. If anyone knows someone in Las vegas who's intrested in a Corkie, my boss is asking 150.00 for him.

awww... good im glad they are doing great ! Im sure she will wait to have them for at least another 3-4 hours...hehehe Also you say you have a male? Is he AKC registered?
