Anybody use Free Range Bully Sticks??? I am looking for anybody's feedback/review who has used Free Range Bully Sticks. The reason I ask is because I'm looking into adding Bully Sticks to Pamper Your Pup. I am not willing to sell something that is not of quality people want to buy, so I am looking at all the different sticks. I would like anyboydy's opion about theses sticks. I may offer a special deal for those who would like to test them, and fill out a simple review. So, what's your opinion?? Thanks!! :D |

You need testers???? I have five here who would love to test anything that is natural and edible!!!! :D I use them. I like them alot. I buy them over and over. BUT - price is a big factor.... buying in bulk is what I usually do because I use so many of them. Well, I personally don't use them... you know what I mean.... LOL My pups go through so many.. |

I would love to test and give you reviews! =) |
Even if they really are free range, theres the big issue of putting all kinds of chemicls on them to keep them from rotting on the shelves. These things are causing diarrhea and other problems in quite a few dogs, and there are not long term studies on what health issues they may be causing. |
both my babies love bully sticks but alas it upsets their stomach so I make sure they only get very little of it . . Annika got through only a quarter of the stick and they are only about 6 inches long and she had the runs really bad so now all that I have will go to Tiger as he does not have a major reaction . . after this batch I will seize to give this to them. :( |
I don't think we have ever tried them, but would like to. What is the price difference? Are they the straight sticks or the coiled ones? Are they flavored w/ a smokey smell? What size are they? (sorry for so many questions) In our personal experience with bully sticks, the kiddos here will get upset stomaches after chewing on the ones that are smelly (smokey flavored or something)...like the ones from PetEdge...maybe the ones from PetsMart too (I can't remember if they have ever had any from there). BUT, the ones that Kathryn_V sells are AWESOME!!! They do not smell and apparently do not have any smokey flavorings added because Mojo does not get an upset stomach from those. Also, I found that my bunch likes the straight sticks, not the coiled ones...I think that is just because with their small faces, the coiled ones kind of "coil" around their heads and makes it hard for them to carry.....with the straight little sticks 4-6-8inch (I think they have had all three of those sizes), they are easy to carry. Mojo will take forever to gobble his down....Lily....will have it gone in no time! |

I will post in the for sale section if I decide to sell special priced sticks for reviews. Hope that answers all your questions! Let me know if you have any more :D |
I wrote to Red Barn and asked if they use any chemicals when they process their bully sticks. They wrote back that they didn't. I assume this means adding preservatives for extended shelf life. The only bully sticks we let Syd have are Red Barn or Merrick. If you buy in bulk can they be frozen until needed? |
I've never had any problems with any of my pups having bully sticks. Never had runny poop, etc.... I do know they don't chew on shoes, furniture or anything else cause of having the bully sticks around. But everyones furkid is different and some may have sensitive tummies... |
