Chattiesmom/Puppy Pemmican
 
I ordered some Yorkie Yummies and got a sample of the Puppy Pemmican. My girls loved it! I gave them each a pinch and they danced around begging for more. If anyone has a reluctant eater, this might be a good thing to try sprinkling over their food. I don't know how to pronounce it, but the girls LOVED it!:thumbup:

:thumbup: We got a sample of that with our last order, too. My gang LOVED it!! The little card Cindy sent with it made it sound so good, I wish she'd sell it for the puppies parents lol. :D

Okay, I'm clueless, what is Puppy Pemmican? Sounds like another yummy treat for the little guys?? They already love yorkie yummies. :)

She sent me some with my nap sak order. It's kind of like a trail mix for dogs. Louis loved it!

My DH begged for the parent recipe too! :D

This Pemmican is highly coveted here at our house... I use it only on VERY VERY special treat occasions and Zoey only gets a tiny pinch in order to make it last. We are praying hard that Cindy will consider selling it in the near future ;)

Thank you so very much for your kind words about the Puppy Pemmican. Thank you so very much for the idea about it being a flavor enhancer. Since it is so crumbly and messy, that might be the way I need to market it. It is pronounced pěm'ĭ-kən for those of you who remember the pronouncian guides :D.

The Puppy Pemmican is a slightly modified version of the Pemmican that I make for hubby and son to take on their long harley treks. It is a powerhouse of energy packed into a small tasty treat. Funny thing, I never thought about selling the people version. If I can get a good steady source for the ingredients I might give it a go, but I am afraid that it would be quite pricey.

Thank you to Jack and Mom for your compliments. I am so glad that you liked the sample. I'm not sure when I will start marketing it, I still have a few little kinks to work out -- like how to get it to stick together and not be so crumbly. :D

Puppy Pemmican is a new treat that I am toying with. I make a people version using homemade beef jerky, and a mixture of dried fruits and nuts that are ground up and mixed with peanutbutter and honey to act as a binder. The original version was a high density traveling food used by the Native Americans - it contained dried lean meat, pounded into a powder and mixed with fruits and nuts. Fat, (often buffalo) was used to bind the mixture together into little cakes. Generally peanutbutter and honey replace the rendered fat to make it healthier.

Awwww, thank you. Tell Hubby I'll see what I can do. I'm not sure if I have any more of the human version left and hubby isn't planning on a trip until late winter.....

OMGosh... Are we in LOVE with the Napsac??!! Zoey could not be dragged away from it so it just HAS to be an early Christmas present. This is truly fabulous!

We also wish to thank you for the extra's thrown in! You have given a lot to us all to provide such quality products and at such a significant savings with this special. I just would like you to know that it is recognized and greatly appreciated!!

My little Mimi loved the puppy pemmican, we recieved with the Nap Sac. I never seen her that crazy over snacks. She sniff over for it day after it was gone.

Per the suggestion, we tried sprinkling a pinch over Zoey's dry kibble this morning. She has begun to turn her nose up to it in the morning ever since her spay surgery :rolleyes:

Well what a miracle it was... she gobbled the entire serving down and I did not put much on it nor did I stir it in or anything. :D

You may come up with a different consistency for it, but this is perfect just as it is for some purposes such as this. :)

Mt babies LOVE the Puppy Pemmican!!! Bentley is soooo picky about treats and food, and he gobbled that stuff up! Thanks so much for the samples and I can't wait till you start marketing it!

I guess I am going to have to re-evaluate the purpose for PP :D. If it is a good way to get persnickity Yorkies to turn into kibble hounds, then it serves its purpose. Thanks!

Louis loves his Pemmican. It is a great training reward treat. I taught Louis to "give me paw" and I used Pemmican as the reward. It is little enough that you can just give tiny pieces for rewards and they love it so much that they will still do the trick for such a little piece. It only took me 2 sessions to teach him "give me paw" and I think it was because he wanted his Pemmican!

Fancy LOVES the Pemmican too! I have been giving her little pinches but its going quick! She is a picky eater and I love the idea of sprinkling it over her food. We need to be able to buy this stuff ASAP! I hope you are able to start marketing it very soon! It smells good - I started to take a pinch myself! :D
