Question about a Gift I want for the GE..PLEASE HELP!
 
Ok I found an item that I want to get for my GE buddy (haven't signed up yet) but I was thinking this time around I was just going to buy ONE really nice gift instead of buying a box full of small gifts like we did in a previous GE.....EVERYONE that is reading this PLEASEE give me your HONEST opinion. Do you think its OK for me to give my SB...ONE NICE GIFT or should I do a variety P.S. the nice gift is $40 bucks plus shipping.....What do you guys think??

If you really know your buddy well, and KNOW for sure its something they would love. Unless its something they listed or hinted on in their sign-up, I would stick with the variety. At least that way if they don't like the one toy or treat there is another one which they may like. With one gift if they don't like it, thats it.

Its not really a toy or treat and I KNOW (and I think thats safe to say) that the SB would LOVE it :) ;)

Yea but I really wanted to make sure that everyone would be OK with that idea because I could get your baby......:) and I don't want anyone to be dissappointed but I pretty sure they wouldn't be....unless maybe just maybe they really don't need it but everyone can use an extra one of these ;)

It's what you want to get for your buddy, so I don't think they'd mind getting one big gift as apposed to getting a bunch of little ones.

But if it was me, I like getting a lot of little presents as apposed to one big one. But that's for me and not for my furbaby. He's happy with anything he gets lol.

I know Bella would LOVE one great gift (but she would love lots of little gifts too! :) ) I think it is your gift and you should do what you are comfortable with and what you think your secret buddy would like! ;) Personally, I think it is really nice you are taking the time to ask people's opinions! :p

Awww thanks! I just wanted to make sure my SB would be HAPPY or should I saw the Owner would be HAPPY with what I give......I want to participate in the GE but last time I participated in it I spent like 65 bucks I think it was on lil gifts, then I wrapped it all pretty in a basket and everything....I was thinking that by getting this one nice gift it would save me time, money, and gas :) I value everyones opinion so please continue to post.... :)

I like opening up different lil things and love to watch Sam dig into a box of stuff, lol.

But in the same breath, we appreciate everything and anything that we receive.

Edit to add.. Now I dont think I can give my opinion until we see it... So I think you have to tell us what it is... lol

To me....it really is the thought that counts. The fact that you even made this thread tells me you put alot of thought into this gift. And I am sure whatever it is your GE will truly love it and appreciate it! And if you think your GE likes to unwrap things - just wrap that gift a bunch of times...LOL I do that all the time for Christmas - I love to frustrate people when I know they're gonna love the gift! But I might just be a sick person :rolleyes:

I think that as long as you stick with the guidelines of spending at least 20 bucks, then it doesn't matter how MANY things we get.

If your SB is a first timer, like I am and some of the other members that have signed up we may not have accumulated all the gifts like othe YT'rs have from previous GE's. I think it would be more fun for the first timers to experience opening a box and going through all the little gifts, as each one will be a new surprise.

I think regardless of whether I get one thing or a thousand things, I am gonna be so happy to see my GE buddy getting the package I've been preparing. I don't think I could be disappointed in anything, because it has been so much fun thinking of what to give!

My personal opinion is that you should go ahead and sign up and once you receive your GE's name and look at their profile you can determine if this would work. You could also play detective and send out some feelers to see if this would work. So you don't give the secret away, have some fun and have several members send pm's to a lot of different people.

Sometimes people ask for specific items that they would not normall buy for themselves. So receiving specific things would be a very special treat in more ways than one.

I think that is a great idea...BUT, what if it is a car seat (persay) and the GE buddy doesn't need one or already has one....OR a bed and the GE buddy mentioned that they didn't need one in their sign-up.....

SO definitely wait to see who you get and what is on their list....
