M-i-a??? Our buddy has gone missing. She got her box on the 20th and I have not heard a word from her since then. Don't even know if she ever opened her box?? surely she did...but who knows?!?! she said she was not feeling well, so I hope I am not going to regret writing this post..I do hope she is ok. but i'm sad that I didn't get to enjoy her opening her box and sharing pics of her gifts. Did she not like what we sent? has anyone else had this problem? I probably shouldn't be posting this...I would hate to hurt her feelings..but I just kinda feel jipped, I guess. and again...I do hope her illness is nothing serious...that would be keeping her away. I would just die if I posted this and something was really bad wrong. I am praying for her health right now!!!!! |
Prayers that your buddy is ok coming from us. That's what happened to us on our first exchange. Spent $75 only to be ignored. We did worry that something was wrong but my dtr found her all over my space and after some time, she came back on here. We never heard a word from her. But your buddy did say she was having some health issues so hopefully (not hopefully she is ill, that would be horrible), but hopefully, for whatever reason, you are not being ignored. It's so sad when anyone, skin or fur, gets sick on here, and I am praying she is ok and maybe it's just a major computer crash or something like that. I'm sure if she could post her appreciation and pics, she would. Is there anyone on here that can reach her? |
Perhaps you should pm admin and ask her to keep an eye out for you secret buddy. She could then pm them and see if anything's wrong. In the previous GE, our secret buddy was unable to posts pics, but she sent us a really nice pm thanking us for the gifts. It just feels good to get some type of acknowledgment, even if it can't be done with pics. I would have felt the way you do if she hadn't. While I realize we aren't doing it to get praise, it is dissappointing not to share in their excitement. I'm sure admin will be able to help you. I think I read an post where she has had to assist in previous GE's. Good luck! Hope all is well with you SB. |
Awe...that's really sad for you. I know I would be heartbroken if I put my time and energy into making the best GE present ever, and then to hear really nothing about it :( I really hope she is doing all right. She was on YT A LOT before and has since not been at all so that kind of makes me wonder if something is wrong. I just really hope she will come back soon and everything will be okay and you'll finally get your pics :) |
It happened to me once, too. No pics, nothing... just broken promises.:( It kinda wrecks it when you spend so much time and money to get it to them. I hope you SB is ok, though. :) |
I really think that she may be very sick. She did say she could not open the gifts because she was not feeling well. Let's give her the benefit of the doubt. Hopefully she is on her way to recovery and will post on here. |
She must be very sick, or I'm sure she would have atleast PM'd you. Prayers going out for a speedy recovery. |
I hope you hear something soon! I was following the other thread where she said she was too weak to open the box. I would have to be feeling really rotten to have a box waiting from my GE and not open it!! I love seeing what everyone gets in their gift exchange and will sign up for the next one for the first time. I'm looking forward to seeing what your buddy got and hope it's soon. :) I hope your buddy is feeling better. |
I'd be disappointed too if I didn't get any feedback, but hand in there maybe she's really sick. Why don't you PM her. |

This deadline has to be met and your gift must be sent out before the date. You will have approximately one month to send your gift out. We completely understand the inevitability of complications or that crucial personal problems may occur. If this happens, please notify us by PM. We believe you have the ability to do the same also. 7. Receiving a Gift - Your buddy has put a lot of thought, effort, money and time into your gift. Please start a thread in the YT Gift Exchange Forum after you have received your gift so that your Gift Giver knows that you have received the goodies. It shows your buddy that you appreciate it and also lets us know that you received your gift so we know who or who did not receive their gifts. This is a requirement of participating in the Gift Exchange. 10. Not Receiving a Gift - If you have not received your gift within 2 weeks of the posted deadline, please PM us to let us know. There will be action taken. It is not fair to you if you have sent out a gift and did not receive one in return. YorkieTalk guarantees that you will get a Gift per Gift Exchange as long as you follow the rules. Every single participant in every single YT Gift Exchange thus far has received a gift. This will allow you to participate in the YT Gift Exchange as long as YT does Gift Exchanges. We require this now because there are certain former YT members that DID NOT mail out a Gift in previous Gift Exchanges while they did accept a gift. This is totally unfair and unjust, especially with all the effort, time, and energy everyone in the Gift Exchange has given. 12. Consequences - We want to keep the fairness in this Gift Exchange and we want everyone to have fun! It is not fair to send a gift and not receive one without any actions taken against the participant that decided not to send a gift. If any of the rules are broken, the participant will have their YorkieTalk account temporarily suspended for 1 entire week. If you do not send out a gift, you may be banned from YorkieTalk forever. We do not want this to happen to anyone and that is why we stress that you contact us as soon as possible if anything occurs which prevents you from sending out a gift. Also, if you do not thank your gift sender or break other Gift Exchange rules, you may be permanently excluded from YorkieTalk Gift Exchanges. It's not ok - she's broken the rules. So unless she's been laid up in the hospital in a "coma" since day one.... :thumbdown Please let Admin know so that she's not allowed to do this to "anyone" else. oh i'm sorry your buddy didn't post yet, I understand how you feel; we all put so much love and attention to the shopping and preparation of the gift, that you obvioulsly expect more than a receipt confirmation. I'm sure you sent wonderful gifts, don't feel bad. Still, I checked and last time she posted was when she said she got it, then she got in latert to YT, but didn't post; maybe she is very sick, let just give her the benefit of the doubt for a few more days, shall we? |
Oh this is just awful! I would def let adm know what is going on. I do hope if your buddy is sick then they will post soon! I know all the hard work that goes into finding the perfect things! I'm sorry! |
