Tell me if I have this right..... I plan on participating in the next GE - just need to make my donation as soon as me and paypal get my password worked out. Just want to make sure I understand..... we send a box of goodies one time to the person that admin gives us? Is there a theme to follow most of the time? I read the FAQ but still had to ask in my own words ;) Sam and I cant wait! His mommy loves to make gift baskets! |

Sometimes, Admin will do a theme, but not always...sometimes, they are "just because"....they are all fun either way. Even if there is a theme, you do not necessarily need to buy things that pertain to the theme...just buy some goodies (look off your GE buddy list - Admin will give you that too). Admin will PM you w/ your GE Buddy list (that we all feel out when we sign up - there will be a new thread started for that) and their Name, Mailing Info. Etc. Just remember to have fun shopping for your buddy and to say Thank you and post when you get your gift - your buddy will do the same. Remember, get insurance and tracking on the package. Most send their packages via Priority Mail, but that is up you! Yay! Happy that you will be signing up for your first GE soon! |
My first GE I sent my package Priority mail with ins and tracking, this second exchange I went to UPS and my package was a tad cheeper than with USPS this go round and my tracking and insurance was already included. It helps to shop around and if you have a "wrap,pack and mail" near you they can compare what will help with the shipping It's tons of fun, can't wait for the next go round! |
I have become a donating member now and I plan to enter the next GE. I just wonder when the next one is and where do they announce the next one and the sign up time? is it in general yorkie talk or in one of the special threads ? this will be my first time to take part in this also. |
On the YT Gift Exchange section at the top of the list there is a thread that will be for sign ups Wait until it says VIII. They said it will be in April or May.. i forgot but there is a thread that says something about a GE for Easter and Admin posted in there when the GE's are lined up for. Take a look |
