They have the rules when they post for the sign ups, if I remember right, you have to spend up to $20.00 that's not inculding shipping BUT there are ALOT that spend more than that. We fill out a form about what are yorkies like and dislike and the person that gets your name goes from there. I hope this helps :) And it's a lot of fun!!!!!!!!! |

I went way way over budget, it is so fun! You are told you have to spend 20. It's alot of fun, you have to be a donating member to be in the exchange. Can't wait for the next one!! |

I would say that yes you are supposed to spend at least $20 on the gift itself, but just about everyone here goes over that. Don't feel obligated to go over though, because it isn't expected. It is just so much fun, I couldn't help myself..I kept on shopping. This was our first exchange and we loved it. |
Everyone pretty much said it all. I just wanted to add, that we always try to go by what our buddy has filled out on their form. That way, they get the things they have been wanting or needing and definitely the treats that they like. Some (like Mojo) can only eat certain foods/treats, so I definitely pay attention to that ---- then, I throw in other goodies too! --- not saying that you have to get everything they ask for, we just go off that and get what we can and then some surprises too. And (we too) seem to always go over the $20, but not way out of that limit. It is just for fun and what you can/want to do. Definitely participate in the next one - it will be fun! |
Does your yorkie have to be full blooded yorkie? I have a yorkie/poodle mix and I would like to participate if possible? Thanks for your help. |

I'm relitively new here and I decided that to help me get to know people the Exchange would be great.I just donated and from what I've read from the Christmas exchange threads people had a ball. There a few members that sell items that are reasonable. But I think for the most part people just got excited so the a lot of times the $20 went out the window. Welcome.:p |

I can assure you that my GE Buddy went WAY overboard! We enjoy everything that Hopey got, everyday(except the treats cuz they are GONE.. haha) She is so attached to her blankie! Gift Exchange is alot of fun..... I am gonna start shopping now! d YOu can look at the thread of photos and thank you's for the last one and get an idea.... it helped me figure it out for sure! |
