Whoever gets Izzy Okay, so I believe I put on our questionnaire that Izzy only likes those butterfly clips, well, I have been working with her the past few days and have been using these little bands in her hair so I think she will be ready for some real bows!!!! Also, the little miss goes in Monday morning for her spaying.:( I'm a bit worried but I love our vet and I know she will be fine...still worry about my baby going through surgery. That all said... I cannot wait to find out who our SB is!!!! Mr. Admin has us sitting on pins on needles wondering who our SB will be!!!! :hmmm33: |
Awww she will do just fine, mama. Don't worry too much :) I will send positive vibes y'alls way that day. She may also gain a little after her spay...I know Luma did. Thanks for the update! Glad to see she is cooperating with the bands :) I can't imagine having a yorkie w/o a topknot LOL :D |
I think it's great that Izzy is doing so good with her bows. I bought bows with bands, but Mandie is such a fussy muffin that she won't sit long enough for me to do it right (this is why her bow was crooked in our VDay Ball pic..boo). Anyway, the clips are easiest for Mommy here lol I am going to tell Mandie how well Izzy is doing so maybe she will feel like she's underachieving and step it up. HA!! :D Also, I'm sure the spay will go great. Do you have something to keep her stitches covered? |
Thanks ladies! A little bit of treats goes a long way with her sitting still long enough to get the bands in. Anytime I've used clips, she manages to work them out of her hair and into her mouth  She is typical puppy - still likes to put everything in her mouth. No, I don't have anything to cover her stitches, never thought of that. I guess I just figured the vet would have something to cover them. |

On the onsie..if she is still really little, you might need a preemie size. Can't find those just anywhere, so if you need that size, I'd look into it tomorrow. ETA: Also wanted to give a tip of having a medicine dropper or syringe handy..some chicken broth..and some pedialyte. You may not need any of it, but for the first day, Mandie wouldn't eat or drink so I had to hand feed her the kibble with chicken broth drizzled on it..worked like a charm! Oh, and used the dropper for water. By the second day, she didn't need my help anymore. |

Thank you so much for the tips! I will go out and get a onsie, chicken broth and pedialyte and dropper tomorrow so I am ready when she comes home. The vet said they would keep her overnight, so I will pick her up Tuesday morning. |
Aww good luck with the spay!! We had soft cones made because even preemie onsies were too big for our 2 pound girl. Give her a big kiss and treat from us!! |
Thanks Kendra! And happy belated birthday to Mack Brown! I had followed his story from way back when... He is so handsome and two already! A milestone indeed! |
