And today she sent me my very own painting!!!!

I LOVE THIS!
I mean I REALLY love this. So much in fact, that I want another one!

Krissie Bella says we have one more thing coming. When that gets here, I'll compose my smilebox. Between the teaser gifts she sent and now this absolutely stunning oil painting, I think we have the best SB of all! I can't imagine what else is on the way!

Krissie Bella says it takes 6 months for it to dry so I put it up high, out of reach of fingers.

I have a very special friend that does these for me. She is 62 years old and works out of her Art Studio. She owns a Yorkie named Minnie. She has painted I think the last 3 or 4 of my Gift Exchanges. I just think that they are such a special gift. Oil paintings do not fade, so it will be an heirloom, even after our babies cross the bridge. I wouldn't take anything for mine. She just did a Maltese for a couple that had crossed and it turned out fabulous. It is on her facebook. The Paintin' Palette. You will see several of my GE paintings. Gabby's will also go into her gallery.

Your next shipment is a pretty large one. We had to switch some items around because of backorders. I do hope that you enjoy everything. We did want your first GE to be special. I'm not crafty or artsy. So, I do a lot of drop shipping. I do commission the painting and work with the artist until it is completed to my liking. I did get your favorite picture, but not until the work had begun. I think that you were in Germany when we were trying to shake everyone down for pictures. I got a lovely set of coaster's with KB's pic on them. Such a treasure. Your Bloomingtale's shipment should be there any day!!! Have Fun!! We have loved shopping for you!! xoxo:):)

My favorite picture isn't one that would look as good painted in oil. In fact, that picture was the day Gabby came from the the hospital. I think it's my favorite because her going under anesthesia was so touchy and she just looked so vulnerable lieing in her bed. She was still coming down from the anesthesia.

The one you selected was MUCH better for a painting! It shows her vibrant and spunky side. Even Chris was blown away and said how it looks exactly like her! I do want another one, so definitely pm me with info when you get a chance!

Oh hey... I don't mean to brag or anything, but I got yet ANOTHER box today!

I'm completely fried. It's a bit after 8pm and I just got home from work. I've been on the go since 5am. Would you guys shoot me if I put my smilebox together tomorrow?

I just spent the last hour on the phone with Miss Georgia. She is the most delightful lady I've had the pleasure in speaking with in a long time. What an amazing woman!

I'm going to commission her to do another portrait for me so that I have a matched set to hang on my wall. The picture I posted of her painting doesn't adequately portray it's beauty or quality. I deal with paintings every week with my clients and this one is every bit as professional as ones that I've purchased for my clients from an art gallery. I don't think it could be captured in an iphone photo. The detail in that painting is amazing and unmistakably my dog. Especially when you compare the photo to the finished work.

What Miss Georgia charges for her work, in my opinion is not enough. Oil paintings are timeless. With proper care they last a lifetime and are a true work of art. It takes many hours to produce a finished product. My painting is a framed 8x10 canvas and Miss Georgia said it took her about 20 hours to finish it. For it, she would have charged about $150. Well worth the money, if you ask me. Obviously, the bigger the canvas, the more it will cost. I have another painting that I'd like her to do above my fireplace that'll be 32"x40" and I fully expect it to be upwards of $500+. Once I get my second yorkie, I'll commission her to do that one.

As for pricing, realize that oil isn't cheap, but you get what you pay for. I've talked with her extensively about this and she's willing to work out affordable payments for those wishing to capture your yorkies (or anything else) in oil but can't afford to spend that much in one payment. She'll ship the painting when the final payment is received. Again, I think that's awesome and very generous of her.

Krissie: Miss Georgia tells me you're the most amazing and generous person she's ever met. I couldn't agree more! We love you :)
