What is your favorite thing about the GE This is just my second time participating in Yorkie Talk's Gift Exchange...but I can say I am hooked:D I thought it would be fun to post what it is about the GE that you love the most:) |
My favorite things about the GE so far are...and in no particular order ~The excitement leading up to getting your SB ~Trying to decipher all the fun clues ~Finding things and making things that you think your SB will love ~The anticipation of your box getting to your special buddy ~Watching to see who gets a box and then seeing all the pics and smileboxes of the amazing gifts everyone sends, it just amazes me at the generosity of yorkie talk members and all the thought and love that goes into these boxes |
You pretty much summed it up for me also. For me, its an escape. Sometimes you need a silly and fun escape from the world. lol |

Maybe I will figure out away I do watch and buy stuff all the time to help so it's not all at once. And still have a few things. Hmmm. I guess we shall see. My whole family gets into it. Michelle you pretty much summed it up perfectly. I feel the GE is a great way to get to know other YT members on a more personal level too and make friends. It is also an escape. When other areas of the forum are generally serious in nature, the GE is a place we can come have a good time, smile, laugh and joke and no one takes you so seriously. |
I loved buying gifts for a girl dog! :p I was able to get all of the cute dresses and pretty colors and accessories! I also loved getting to know everyone that participated. And seeing the true talent that many YTers have. The outfits that I got for my buddy and that I recieved, including the hand made toys were wonderful! |
I just love making a box up for my buddy. I love to make and watch smileboxes. I do like the hints, although I don't always keep up with all the threads. And, I love to see the waggedy tails of my dogs when a box for them comes. They think all boxes are for them, and it's nice when one really is for them. |

I was hoping i'd get a girl doggy to shop for but having a boy was just as much fun as a girl to shop for! :) Everything ended up being perfect! Hoping my financials are in check for the next GE cause I had such a blast! |

I agree with everyone! My very favorite is making the box for my buddy...finding special things, picking a theme, seeing pics of my buddy enjoying their gifts! I love it!!! |
There is just so much to love about the ge...I think one of my favorite parts is watching everyone's smileboxes. I love to see everyone's pup and enjoy seeing how much love and affection was put into each and every box. It's very exciting waiting to your sb to get their box and to see their reaction to all the things you picked out for them. I also think it's exciting to see a box arrive on our doorstep for Trixie too! I could just go on and on....oh wait...I think I am :D Making new friends...getting to know everyone better is just another one of the wonderful things the ge brings to each of us. |
