the POST OFFICE messed up the label and they are returning the box to me today, I will fix it and try to mail it back today, or tomorrow morning the latest... so sorry SB, I TRIED.. so hard and the :mad::mad::mad: at the post office messed it all up...

Box just got home..got a love the USPS, the label was riped in half from the box,so the recipient addy was confusing, so good they brought it back, since I printed the label online was very easy to void and ask for a refund. Is been raining horribly out, and I don't have a car tomorrow,so the box will have to wait until Friday .
at least that seem to be the only problem with the box...

Good thing you got a refund. This one time I got into it with the PO. I packed a box to go to Pasadena (about 40 miles from me), and bought postage online for a 4 lb box and mailed it from the PO by work. It was returned to my po box at another PO across town (same city about 4 miles apart). They said the postage was not sufficient, bc the box weighed 4 lbs and 3 oz!!! I said, you guys better not charge me double saying this first postage is now void. The man said oh well let's see bc usually if it leaves town you get charged. I said, it didn't leave town! I didn't just pay $15 for it to travel 4 miles are you kidding me! Luckily for me, he just made me pay the balance. I hate the PO. No wonder they are broke.

It is SO hard to get them to admit fault. Another time I shipped an electronic item and when it arrived it did not work. The recipient had to get the postmaster general from his town to write a letter to my PMG to say, yes the box arrived significantly damaged, and to pay the insurance. What is the point of getting insurance when they don't pay up? The box has to be significantly damaged in order for them to pay. What if the contents are fragile? It wouldn't take much to damage the inside and not show on the outside.

GRRRRR ok rant over! For now...

When I mail boxes I make sure I put tape over the entire label. That way it can't get ripped off and rain won't smear it.

I did put tape over the edges but the mail people get mad if I tape over the bar code, because they say it will not scan for them, :confused: so I am doom if I do and doom if I don't..:mad::mad:, at least that is the only problem, so the box will be back out on friday.. and this time I am mailing it without siggy requiered, hopefully it will get there safe and sound...:p:p
