The GE has me in big fat trouble....
 
with my soon to be 8 year old granddaughter:eek: Her birthday is next Friday, the 25th. I went shopping yesterday for her birthday gifts. I pick her up from school on Wednesdays, so I wrapped two of the smaller packages and had them sitting on my sewing table.
Of course when we got home this afternoon, that was the first thing she saw were the wrapped gifts and asked if they were hers. I also had my GE box sitting there and her eyes got huge and said are these mine too...huh oohh. Needless to say, she is upset. She said all that is for Bogie's secret buddy and these two are all I have.
I appeased her a little by telling her I spent more on her gifts, and that I hadn't wrapped her big gift, but a child looks a quantity not $$ spent. She was good with it after I showed her a few of the doggie gifts. Why didn't I think and hide the GE box.
I now feel like a bad NaNa.

Awwww poor baby! She is just seeing the buddy getting "more" than her. Lol. Nana better get a really special item for her!!! :D

Oh no! Maybe you can go to the dollar store and get her a half dozen little gifts...wrap them and say they are from the pups because they didn't want her to be sad??

Happy Birthday to your Granddaughter....I have a feeling that she is VERY loved by you and that you are a GREAT NaNa!!!

I do have her main item she asked for another Lalaloopsy doll which she started collecting last year. She is so hard to buy for because she has everything:p

She is the little love of my life, I had boys and always wanted a little girl to spoil....and that is a great idea about the dollar store. She loves doing crafty things and I can pick up a bunch of stuff there and wrap it individually. :) Thanks for the idea!!

lol...hmmm now I gotta go relook at that post! ahahaha

I think it's funny that she pouted. But I believe that we have to torture our kids properly. :rolleyes: j/k....not really. You can tell her to make his SB's box extra special she can make her own card or note to add to the box. I think that would be so cute. :)

I love it!!! She is very artistic and would love making Bogie's SB a special card!!!
