non donating member exchange?
 
I'm just wondering if there is any type of exchange for non-donating members.
I've noticed pretty much a lot of people that regularly use the site are donating members anyways, but there a few that aren't.

I my self joined this month, and have not yet donated. Not that I don't want to, or can't afford to. But I am going to use the site for awhile before I do to make sure I can actually stay on top of it, and commit.

Are there any exchanges for us non-donating members? It's such a fun idea and so great for the yorkies and owners to get to know eachother...kind of sad if not ALL of us can be involved somehow ya know? I mean there probably are some people who just can't afford/aren't able to donate... and some people like me who love the site but haven't been around long.

I would love to send another Yorkie a gift, and I'm sure Tikka would love a surprise from a new friend!:aimeeyork:animal36

No there aren't exchanges for non-donating members. The GE is held 4 times a year. So if you don't make this time you can the next. It takes awhile to get to know members and their dogs.....so, by that time people will know you a bit better too and it'll be that much more fun to have a GE (even though it's secret who your Secret Buddy is) with someone you have more knowledge of.

I think the GE is one of the perks of being a donating member. There's gotta be perks right? :p

Lol! Yes quite a perk, it looks like so much fun, I emailed admin about donating. I would have to do cash/money order... I don't think that's an option right now but maybe they can hook me up! But either way I'll miss out on this GE! Poor Tikka lol. Not that she isn't already being spoiled enough :rolleyes:

I would definitely say that the GE is one of the many perks of being a donating member. That is money I would say was "well spent".

Rules are in place because people have flaked in the past. Everyone who participates is guaranteed a gift even if their buddy flakes. I think its quite fair and donating makes it possible for things like GEs happen.

Maybe you can join next time?

yeah i actually pm'd admin to see about sending cash/money order but was then informed about these nifty Visa/Mastercard gift cards that work the same. but admin said they'd let me know about sending cash/mondey order once they are back from where ever they are :D so hopefully next time!!
