So what happens if you don't get your SB box??
 

I am actually getting nervous for Denzel's SB since we haven't heard anything from his mom since November....I'm afraid something may have happened to them :(

What happens if their sb doesn't get a box.....are we able to send them a ge box to replace it?? I would be willing to send a box of goodies to the sb if necessary.

Not trying to alarm anyone, but just wondering. If anyone knows the answer (well I am sure admin does), I would love to know.

Do you have tracking information? That should tell you whether or not your package was delivered.

Maybe Denzels mom is just busy with Christmas and everything, Im sure they have sent out their box and are just waiting for it to get to their buddy's house.
Well I hope so anyway... I hope Denzel and his mom are okay and nothing bad has happend. :(
I think if a buddy dosn't get their box then maybe YT sends them a box? Im not sure I think I read that somewhere, Admin said that nobody will be left out.

If you check the rules, you must send your package with a shipping service that provides tracking information.

Your SB is required to post a thank you thread with a couple of pictures.

If you know your SB got her gift, but didn't respond, you should contact the Admin.

These are great rules IMO. I stopped participating in the gift exchange on another forum when I never got even a pm of thanks year after year. It's discouraging to put a lot of time and effort into your gifts and not have them acknowledged.

as the remaining buddy that is probably going to get left out this round, what teacup is trying to say is the member Nesha, Denzel's mom has not been online once time since Nov. 25 after thanking someone for receiving HER gift so we don't know whether she is going to actually send a gift or not or has just completely disappeared off the face of the earth. we don't know if something bad happened or if she dine and dashed (sorry to think the worst but working with people has brought out the worst in my trusting people).

anyways i've been PMed by admin so i think it's going to be fine and don't worry about me everyone i'm more than ok right now. i've come to terms a long long time ago that Sadie is prob. the dog that won't get something this year. i prob. won't do GE again for a long time if ever. there is not a good way to hold someone accountable for their GE box and there's nothing stopping someone from getting their gift and leaving YT forever :thumbdown maybe in the future we make them deposit money to admin that they get back after doing it right that way if something like this happens admin has the funds to replace the gift not sent. or maybe require a phone number that admin can "check in" on the missing person.

anyways this is prob. my last GE because unfortunately bad things happen and you have no way of knowing what did happen and bad people also come on and take advantage of giving and good people.

I know you must be disappointed, please try not to be though. I've seen it happen before that someone does not send out a gift, but usually there is a good ending.....many generous members on this site that would not want anyone to be with out a gift in a GE.:)

So sorry to hear about this Rachel. That must really suck! I thought I had read that she was out shopping for her SB. Didn't she also say something about having to deal with a family issue? I'm not making excuses for her, just saying what I remember seeing. I've yet to participate in a GE, but I'm willing to send Sadie a little something to brighten up her Xmas. :)

The gift exchange is great and fun for everyone, I dont understand why anyone would want to ruin that for the mom's and the furbabies. So hopefully there is a good reason.
I hope you do take part in other GE's! I would love to have you as a SB!
I dont have any money right now as I dont get paid until wednesday but I would be more then happy to buy something from a YT vendor and have it sent out to you! I think it would be a great idea if we all chipped in and got Sadie something special. There is no way we can have her being left out especially at Christmas time!

While i have a wonderful SB ;), i know when it gets down to the last few things start running threw your mind of the "what if". It is heart breaking that someone would leave someone without, especially when you have put your heart into the gift you have sent. i have taken part in 3 Ges, and most of them turn out Great for those involved, however 2 of the 3 i have taken part in, someone didnt send out a gift. i dont know if a phone # included would help as part of the sign up-since they probablly wouldnt answer the phone, but possibly a refundable deposit would work. Or making it where you have to be a member for a longer period before signing up. Since its really easy to rack up 'X' amount of post on no time just to enter the ge. If there willing to be a member for say 6 months? before they can enter- then maybe they would be more honest when signing up for the GE? i know that it would make it hard to those that want to sign up right away, and hopefully it wouldnt discourage anyone. but if you like the site then you wont leave if your heart was in the right place to begin with. Sorry just my 2 cents, and dont mean to offend anyone.

Rachel is Sadie the only doggy that didn't get a box? I'm sorry I've lost track of who get a box about a week ago. :( Plus I know that you really thought that Doodlebug was Sadie's SB.

What has ADMIN said about the box? Keep us posted and I'm sure that Sadie will not be left out. That really stinks if your SB doesn't follow through. So don't get all pouty just yet~everything will be just fine. :hug:

Rachel I am so sorry you didn't receive your GE. I was Denzel's secret buddy and when i sent the box it was rec'd but Nesha didn't post. I contated admin after a week, she was contacted and posted saying she had a family emergency out of town, I hope everything is ok with her and Admin can find out what's going on.

Maybe that is the reason why she hasnt been able to send it out just yet, I hope so anyway.
Hopefully she will be able to get online soon and explain. If not I still think it would be nice if we all chipped in and bought Sadie some gifts, once I get paid on wednesday I would be more then happy to help. :)

hey guys. i sure hope you don't think i'm a huge jerk. i posted last night when i was really tired and cranky PMS time too...i'm not upset over this, well maybe a little sad for Sadie, but you don't have to do anything for us we're ok. and i am hoping that everything with Nesha is ok and didn't mean to make it sound like i'm accusing her of just getting her gift and running away. she did mention an emergency and did mention her box was all ready to go but they had to run out of the house and go deal with something. i hope her family is ok and everything turns out fine for her Christmas. no one wants for anyone to have emergencies all through the Christmas season. i'm sorry for the bad attitude earlier and please don't feel like you have to send us something. Sadie will be fine and happy for Christmas no matter what. thanks for the love. we love you all very much.

I'm so sorry this happened to you. Maybe, just maybe things will work out and you will get your box.

I can't send Sadie the slippers she's been eyeing but would she like a set of winter boots or some cozy indoor booties? I just got some really adorable ones in that will keep her warm and toasty during winter.

Definitely don't let this stop you from joining the GE again. Your babies are so fun to chat with!:)

if you want to pick something out for sadie i'm sure she'd love you for it. and cooper too! she likes pink and her snow boots from last year got torn up when she had to wear them over her hurt foot and they got skidded on the cement too much.

I've never participated (don't even know if I have the requirement to participate???), but I was thinking this year how nice and fun it would be, so was thinking next year, but now I wonder if it's a good idea. I guess one has to look at it as it's better to give than receive, do the right thing send out your gift and if the other reciprocates then they've did the right thing. But I've seen some of the gifts and clearly people have spent a lot of money for others so I do think the other person should at least send what they can and if a sudden & unexpected change of circumstances prevented them from doing so they should contact someone and let them know, I think most people would understand ( but hey, there I go with that Pollyanna attitude again! )
