The USPS stole Teddy's box! We are still waiting, thanks to the USPS who stole Teddy's box. It's coming back to us now and Teddy is waiting by the door 24/7. He knows who his S:aimeeyorkB is though - and he is so happy!!:D |
Poor Teddy!!! That's a very long time to wait!!! Poor lil guy! |
What? What happened? Aww poor Teddy. Maybe you should go ahead and get him something special until his box gets there. :) |
Sorry to hear about Teddy's box. I know he will be so happy when he gets it. |
Hmmm, nice try on his/her part! ;) Do you suppose they are on to us? :D Glad you are/were quick to discover it went missing and Teddy will have his box soon. Don't mess wtih Teddy, or YT. LOL. |
poor Teddy! Cant wait to see though... |
I guess we should just tell 'em who Teddy's S:aimeeyorkB is...instead of keeping the suspense growing, huh? Well...ya know Bella? Well, apparently somebody who knew how crazy she was about her :animal36man, Teddy Bumpkins was thoughtful enough to offer to swap SB's so, that Abby could have Teddy as a SB and this way Bella could still get a lil' sumthin'-sumthin' in Abby's package for her sweetie! Then came the thoughtful people at the USPS who took Abby's (Priority Mail) package and sent it on it's merry way to her brother in law, Teddy Bumpkins with a delivery time of "2-3 days"...right! After a few days beyond the estimated delivery time, I go to the Post Office and bring them the print out from the USPS website that shows the delivery confirmation only stating that the package has been received by the USPS but, no further updates. I am politely told that sometimes they don't update until the package is actually delivered AND...Priority Mail is not a guaranteed method of shipping when it comes to the "2-3 days"...interesting! The "free" delivery confirmation number that was provided when we printed the shipping label online suddenly stopped giving information until the 7th of March when it said it was at the USPS sorting facility in Springfield, MA...yeh, finally it's getting close to RI, right:confused: Nope...then nothing! I call the USPS 800# and speak to a robot named Deckland who says the same response over & over. If your package is not delivered by such & such date, you can file a claim for the "lost" package...huh, what:confused: When I dig a bit more and ask for an idea as to what he thinks might have happened to the package...he literally says, "well, it's probably sitting somewhere on a dock and got overlooked"...nice!:( In the meantime, we sit & wait and even think about starting a prayer chain thread for Teddy's package to be delivered...but, before we can do that...the package mysteriously is deposited on my front door by my regular postal guy! Now, I go to the Post Office with Teddy's package in tow and ask what the heck is going on...there's no notation on the package to indicate why it went nearly all the way to it's destination and then all the way back to me except that my return address has a giant black circle around it. After much guessing someone pulls out a measuring tape and declares it's because of the size of Teddy's package...(the box!)...and I argue that if it was the "size" that caused this then, when I printed the postage it would have requested me to enter the measurements before it would let me pay. As the line behind me grew and I refused to pay more in shipping...(it only weighed 8 lbs)...a very frustrated Postal Clerk slapped a new delivery confirmation sticker on the package and a new address label (along with the old one) and off Teddy's package went...(again!) and off I went back home feeling proud I didn't go postal!:D So...hopefully, Mr. Teddy will give up his post at the front door with tomorrow's mail or Monday at the latest and we can finally see that smilebox with him tearing into his box from Abby...(and of course, Bella:aimeeyorkBoo who had to sneak a few things in there, too!) |
You forgot the part about how we were coming up with conspiracy theories on the box's whereabouts. Here were some theories: 1. My mail man, Osama, who has a grudge against USPS was holding the box hostage 2. Lisa's dehydrated chicken feet, apparently placed in the box by Bella especially for Teddy, were causing the PETA patrol at USPS to restrain the box. 3. The people in springfield was lazy and kept taking breaks before loading Teddy's box from "the dock" to Osama's delivery vehicle. 5. Deckland himself took the box, and was involved with Osama in holding it in hopes of receiving a couple of virgins in exchange. These theories emerged in only one business day. Had Deckland not mentioned the dock or the post office inner workings, we could have certainly come up with many more theories. The moral of the story is that it all comes down to the size of the box, and Teddy's was just too big. |
Heeheehee...leave it to you to shed light on our insanity!:D |
ATTENTION: USPS NEWS FLASH!!! Osama appears to have Teddy's package aboard his delivery vehicle and will soon be delivering...only a couple weeks late but, hey...who's counting! Those ba$tardo's at the USPS need to wake up...this was a G:animal-paE package for our dear lil' Teddy:animal36boy...I think Osama owes Teddy at least a bonus dehydrated Chicken foot or two or three from Lisa!:D We'll be awaiting that smilebox Cathy...heeheehee get your camera ready! ;)-;) |
Well, I sure hope he gets his box soon!! Good thing those chicken feet are already dehydrated ... there could be a strange odor surrounding his box by now, LOL :D |
Not a guarantee! Just because the USPS system reports that Teddy's (:aimeeyork's) box is out for delivery doesnt mean Osama will actually do his job. When I drove by this morning and saw him, he was sitting in his truck munching on what appeared to be a chicken foot . When I stopped to find out about the box, he became very flustered and looked at me like this:  I'm not sure if we will see the box today, but if we do, I am almost 100% certain that we will not see those chicken feet. |
Did ya happen to catch a glimpse of a "chicken toenail" crumb...in his beard? If so...Teddy:animal36boy...there's gonna be a couple things missing from your package and blame it that darn Osama...:D I have really been thinking nice positive vibes for dear Mr. Osama on his route today and that he'd be extra happy when he grumbles at the sight of that big box and then jumps for joy when he realizes just how light 8 lbs really is...and then puts the d@mn package down on Teddy's porch for cryin' out loud...okay...breathe deeply...there, back to nice sweet thoughts for Mr. Osama the most dedicated Mail person out there on the streets of Providence today...:D |
OMG... the good vibes thing really worked!!! According to the USPS tracking page...Teddy:animal36Boy's package has been DELIVERED!!!!:cheer: Okay Teddy...just a few more minutes till Momma rounds the corner from work and you get to dig in! Hang in there big boy! :D |
