If I EVER even think about signing up on the very first day of the GE sign-up period again, somebody knock some sense (gently) into my head!

This has to have been the longest month on record and I have no one to blame but myself...LOL

I am soooooo glad that today is the last day of the sign-up period but you slackers who plan to participate had best get your info in the thread because ........

YAY!! finally!!! :) I waited about 1/2 the month before I signed up so that it didn't drag like it did for you! haha

It has been such a long, boring month...well except for the book thingey I made for Amelia. Plus, I made some notecards and postcards for the widow's group at church.

I don't see how I could ever get as great a photo as I did with your two! That has been (and may always be) my favorite notecard of all. I think that photo is precious and either your friend or you should enter it in a pet photograph contest. I just love it!

So I admit it, I am one of the slackers. I signed up last night. I have had the questions done all month but I didn't have Scooters measurements. Every time I went to submit it, I realized I didn't have them and was not in a spot (mainly at work) where I could get them. It is our first GE and we are excited. Scooter loves to help me open boxes that come in the mail...whether they are for him or not. :)

I am also excited... and have thought about signing up kandie for the first time also... but I think this time I will stick to one and do two while in Florida over the winter months...

Lisa, it is so much fun! I get a kick out of reading the hint threads, too, but I haven't gotten the hang of giving a clue without telling too much. I'm going to have to watch my typing fingers a bit more closely this time!

Lovely, before our first GE (last time), Taffy had never had more than a "passing" interest in the boxes that arrived at the house. Now she's like velcro when a box is brought in. We can barely get it open for her attachment to it and (oh my goodness) it's hers, it's hers even if it's clothes for us...LOL

Teresa and Anne, I'm just so glad to see the end of this calendar page...LOL. It's not the "getting" of the gift (although that is fun), I think it's the whole Christmas-like atmosphere of the whole forum. It's just a bright spot of fun with the hints and the shopping and "my favorite"... the reveals. I absolutely love seeing what everyone's Yorkie gets.

Not to bring anyone's festive mood down because I too am anxious for this GE to get started, but even though it is the last day of sign ups, we still have a couple more days to wait while the admin chooses our buddies. I'd guess by late Sunday night.:)

OP...generally they give hints trying to get us all to guess whose name we got without giving it away. Some people (like Sarah) give good hints and throw everyone off but then some give hints that just flat give it away (like me).

I'm pretty sure it's because I'm a retired teacher and my 30 year career was spent in giving hints and clues that helped GET the answer...LOL

Well, at least that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it until I learn to give better clues. However, I like your idea of the hints about what's in the package. Of course, that will tend to make everyone jealous and eager to get your package since we're not supposed to reveal to our person that we have that name untl they actualy get the package.

I think Christina was gracious to "pretend" she didn't guess pretty early on that I had Fletcher's name. I'm fairly certain I screwed up when I told the huge number of words that could be made from the letters of my SB's name....LOL (Never realized that everyone else pretty much had really short names for their Yorkies....grrr.)

I'm trying to think of some real stumpers this time to up my game...LOL Some of these guys are really, really good with obscure hints and clues.

Oh, yeah...word of warning. When you go visit their profile page, you show up as one of the latest visitors! I had to visit everyone's page just to cover my tracks on that one...LOL

You are going to have a blast with this! It gets really comical before the packages start going out....especially when the Yorkies themselves sneak to the computer keyboards.

Bella pretty much knows who her :aimeeyork-SB might be...for sure...it's a :aimeeyork-girl or boy...a tiny-:aimeeyork or a :aimeeyork-teapot... :aimeeyork-ears that either stand straight, salute or flop...has a silky-:aimeeyork or cottony-:aimeeyork coat...long or short coat...has a itty-bitty tail or a long enough to wave a flag...but, one things for sure our :aimeeyork-SB will be the cutest :aimeeyork we ever did see! :D

I signed up late in the month this time, just to TRY and keep the anticipation down to a minimum. The only thing that has really helped is that this has been a very busy month, and not much time to get online. My grass is also getting out of control. We had a couple of college visits, football and baseball, a root canal for me, and then son had his tonsils and adnoids out. He's getting a little better now. I have vowed to clear a few days, stay at home, get the lawn taken care of and maybe have a little fun on YT! So, I can't wait to get our SB -- perfect timing as things are easing up enough for me to think about shopping too!

Grrrrr.... still no PM!! Maybe sometime today :(
