There are only 15 more calendar days before we start signing up for the next GE! Who knew?

I think the "longest" month is the sign-up month. It seems to go slowest while you are waiting to learn the name of your secret buddy.

Once you learn who your buddy is, things start popping!

One major thing that's different at our house though since our participation in our first GE is that now when a package comes into the house, Taffy is ready to claim it!

Prior to our GE experience, she was only vaguely interested in packages but now she is certain that any package entering our house is hers. LOL

well i think sign up is the whole month of july with packages being sent out in august....ok then i will be able to participate...hehe...i was thinking packages had to be sent out in july...hehe

No the actual package sending is in August but July is the sign-up month. July will be the longest month, I think...LOL

As far as hints go, I need a crash course on not giving myself away in the first hint or two...LOL (I had planned to have some generic ones thought up beforehand but haven't gotten there yet!) Bless Christina's heart, I think she suspected me from the first but she played along so I could have a bit more fun with it.

I suspected you from about 5 hints on... then when you said the alarm clock was invented in our state, and I was the only one from New Hampshire, then I was 99.9% sure! LOL

I definately need to think of more hints... my buddy was never on though... so it got hard to hint when the correct person was not guessing! LOL

I may have a "thought" for you with multiple Yorkies. (Of course, this won't work for Christina since her boys are from the same litter. However, with only two you can easily alternate.)

Have you ever looked at their date of birth and which GE best fits which birthday? It might work for some of you and make the birthdate even more special!

Just one more of my "off the wall" (crazy) ideas...LOL...just got to thinking how I would choose who got to be the special one when. Only other criteria I can think of would be using alphabetical order starting in the alphabet with the one following the last one you did. (When trying to think of how to arrange kids' names in some order, I tried to use something they had no control over which made it a totally random way to order it...including reverse order...that one always blew their minds...LOL)

Deb, it's hard for me to decide WHO will be in the next one, since you SPOILED BOTH my boys in this last one! :) :) First Fletch was going to get spoiled and then Dex... so I signed up Fletch... but now I'd feel bad if I signed up Fletch twice to start my logic all over again LOL so I guess I gotta sign up Dex! LOL Decisions, decisions! :)

Girl, of course you need to sign up Munchkin! You know he'll share anyway! (Can't tell you how I freaked after I'd gotten so many of the same things in different colors to read that your boys shared the same toys. Oh, boy! I'm lucky any of it turned out...LOL)

By the way, I think having the ball cap here collecting dust instead of on its way to you is my way of "hanging on" to the last GE. Think I need my head examined? (Joke, folks...joke!)

Gee, can you tell I feel scorched (slightly burned) from misinterpretations? Now I almost feel like I need to "qualify" my teasing...LOL

LOL! This past one was out 1st, so we had no idea what we were doing...I've noticed that alot of the packages were mailed out towards the end of the month...to build the suspense/torture!! hehe
I really liked all the personalized gifts alot of the mommys got, like the mousepads & coffee mugs & picture frames w/their furbaby...
Loved all the beautiful handmade gifts! Wish I can make something, but not very crafty.
Where in the world do people get all those cute Yorkie gifts...like magnets & pens/notepads?? Maybe if I did a search on google it'll come out, haven't tried it yet.
I really enjoyed all the hint threads...some clues were very creative & original...TOY, your threads (whether it be dead give-away clues! lol) are always good.
I already started shopping for the next one!!:D

I can't wait either! I feel like a seasoned veteran now. Plus, I've gotten some really good ideas from everyone's posts. Some were just so creative!

I love to write. I wish I could sew or do crafts like others do but I'm one of those who had boxes of unfinished craft projects. (Haven't really restocked since the house burned in 2002.) I evidently want to be able to make stuff but either don't have the necessary talent or don't take the time to learn whatever technique.

I've started shopping already, too! Well, the truth is, when I find a neat or unusual dog something, I try to get two if they are not too expensive. Those I call the "filler" gifts and then I wait until I can find out something about who our buddy is to try to get something on the personal level.

I never exactly know what you can or can't write in some of these posts about where you get things but I'll share a few of the sites I've found some cute things. I'm sure someone will correct me if I shouldn't have posted such. Due to health issues, I do all my shopping online.

I find some things at pet supply places in sections they usually call "For pet lovers" or something like that. Then I've found some great Yorkie stuff at various places just bouncing aroundon the internet. I've gone into my records and made you a list of some of the websites. (Sorry, I got tired before I listed them all. Some are a surprise like the goodguyswatches.com They have a darling Yorkie puppy ornament if you ever have a buddy with a puppy.)

I'm going to try to post the list on a blog entry. I have no idea if it will work but I've messed with these until my eyes are crossing...LOL I've got "one attempt" in me tonight but if that doesn't work, I'll try something tomorow.

There is one site that I found some really neat stuff and that's why I've kept on and on looking and listing but so far, I haven't found it. If/When I do, I'm let you know that one, too.

Tammie, I just checked and the list I typed is still there on the blog...LOL...Guess I thought it might vaporize overnight.

I do think the list is overwhelming though since I was in bed alot when I first knew about my Yorkie and I surfed the net "lots" each day. Let me tell you a few of my favorite sites although I must admit I'm still looking for the one I was thinking about. I can't for the life of me remember what it's called but I'm sure I have their emails filed somewhere.

In some of the sites you'll get different responses from typing yorkie as opposed to yorkshire terrier. The "formal" name seems to give more results of the long-haired, adult look while the other sometimes gives the puppy look.

The ornament I got in memory of my buddy's deceased Yorkie is on the ebay site of the lasermoon shop. You'll have to go through their website to get there, I think. As I said before, I like the goodguyswatches...their puppy look items look so much like Taffy that it's uncanny. The Vistaprint is where I get personalized stuff made like labels and cards, etc. and while the prices are great, the shipping is a killer! Still, I like their products. Oh, and the inktastic site...wow! Their stuf is marvelous...super quality.

Hope that helps you a little. Now that I'm feeling better, there's no way I'd have time to do all these searches...LOL...oh yeah, I like the Etsy site, too.

Most of the places I just type Yorkie or yorkshire terrier in the search box or sometimes on search engines like google.com I might type in yorkie magnet, etc. Of course, you can really get in the spirit by using dogpile.com as your search engine...LOL

You will tend to get some different responses on different search engines. Oh yes, and some days, I would start at weird places in the search like page 5 or so of the listings. That way you can find some of the more "hidden" treasures of the internet business community.

TOY...Thank You for all the great suggestions...never thought of looking on the 5th + pages of a search! I always just look at the 1st 5...just shows how other's opinions are so greatfully appreciated.:D
