never thought Id wish the weekend was over
 

Gee......this GE has us so curious I cant wait till Tuesday when everyone starts getting packages again, giving hints, returning from outings etc etc. Were going crazy at my house. How bout the rest of you that are home?

Yes, I can't wait till our SB gets the box.
Yes, I'm excited over Taffy getting her box.

No, I dread the "fight" trying to get some decent photos.
No, I hate that the suspense will be over.

I am having a blast putting together a Smilebox for our thank you though. Its success though is still to be determined as to whether I can get our ADD Yorkie to cooperate. She's like so into something and then "oh,look, something shiny!" and off she goes...LOL I'm going to try to find a way to use all the numerous blurry photos.

We have really had a good time with this game. Even with the major blunders I've done with the clues, I've enjoyed it. I will be better at hinting next time.

I can't imagine having all the time back that I've been spending on reading this GE forum. I haven't wanted to miss a thing...LOL

My greatest pleasure? Feeling like I really know several of you guys now instead of only a couple. It will make the whole board seem more like a community now and I will enjoy keeping up with you and your Yorkies! This fun interaction has made you all seem so much more "approachable" (not the exact word I want...hmmm) It's not that everyone wasn't friendly before (they were) but it just feels more "comfortable" now...still not sure that makes sense.

On one hand I've been waiting for the weekend to end to start seeing threads again but on the other I am checking everyday for our buddy to post their thread with pics. See, Our Buddy got their package so we are more anxious for them to post their thread :) we want to know if "she" liked everything. They recieved it a couple days ago and we were sad when they hadn't posted a thread but maybe they haven't taken pics or they're busy :confused:. Then I read Toy's post above about dreading pics and realized that could be it too.

If they don't post soon we have our own pics we took before sending it :D .. Gucci and I had so much fun putting it together.

Eek...I hope it isn't us because we haven't gotten a package!

Plus, maybe I should clarify. I will be able to take great pictures of the "things" ... LOL ... I just don't have much luck with our puppy because she is so active! I did get several cute ones the other night while my husband had her captive in a bedsack...

I think it's a mixture of old lady with digital camera and speedy puppy...makes a blurry photo in most instances. I just want to do our buddy's gift justice.

I've got a plan though ... if it works, it could be awesome!

We have only been in 2 GE's and both times it took our buddy 2 weeks to post a thank you because of certain reasons so don't you fret just yet. :D I know the waiting sucks though doesn't it! :( Hopefully it doesn't take that long this time around because the thank you thread is the best part!

yikies, maybe they went out of town for the long weekedend, or could be like mine got package right before leaving for long weekend, and just decided to post when they get home. Either way Im looking forward to seeing their box. These dogs I swear get so excited when they get new stuff. Mine go thru the grocery bags even. One thing about this forum, I now know mine arent the only spoiled ones. Ha ha

I know what you mean Linda. I have actually gotten more excited about the GE here at the end. Once I got a couple of special items to add to the package I sent out, I have been really anxious to see what our SB thinks of it all. Delivery was attempted to our SB Saturday, but they weren't there. So, our package is sitting at the Post Office waiting for them. Hopefully they will get it tomorrow.

I have no idea who has Ben for their SB. I haven't followed the hint threads and only started one for our SB once I had the package in the mail. I will probably be more on top of things next time. I can see how much fun this can all be. In fact, I already picked up a couple of items perfect or either a boy or girl yorkie -- getting a head start on the next one!

I didn't think of taking pictures of my gift items as I mailed them. That would have been a good idea. But knowing the SB that will be receiving ours, I am pretty sure they will post pictures. Hey, that is another hint of a sort. :)

Anne - yes that is the fun part of GE so we are definately waiting :)

Carsons Mommy - Perhaps they are busy .. we are definately keeping that in mind and not worrying just yet, but we are ever so anxious :D

Linda44 - It is a Holiday weekend so they could be busy .. I know lots of folks go camping etc. As fo excitement, Gucci gets excited for everything new lol. He will trot around with a "new" toy all day when he gets one lol. I think it's hilarious that he KNOWS IT'S NEW! haha

I'm with Ya'll!!!! I'm terribly excited to see people posting again...and seeing the gifts arriving...and the new "thank you" threads being posted!! I LOVE everything about the GE"S!!! From sign-up to the thank you's!!! I'm addicted!!!

Hoping tomorrow comes a bit faster!!! Our SB is supposed to be getting their gift tomorrow...but I'm hoping that the holiday weekend didn't delay it :eek:....which might be a possibility....I guess I'll find out soon enough!!



I think a good idea for the recipients if they can't immediately post pics...to at least send their SB a private message and tell them thanks!! And then try to post as soon as possible...of course!!!:rolleyes: lol
Well that's what I would do if I couldn't post right away..cuz we know that they are waiting too hear that the gift was recieved too!;)

I have Tues (tomorrow) off...so, it would be super duper nice if Mimi got her gifts from her special SB!!:D It sure is (was) a LONG weekend & kinda sad to think that the GE is almost over.
