To Taffy's SB...Oh, dear! Dear SB, Taffy could not keep her paws off your packages as you'll see when they arrive at your house. I guess it's a dog thing! Anyway, she definitely had a good time "pawing" at the boxes. You'll see what I mean when you get them. Oh, dear! We're shipping them some time tomorrow. Watch this thread for further updates. I know that the Memorial Day holiday will delay the delivery at least one day...maybe more. I'll ask for an estimated delivery date when I ship tomorrow. I think it's quite safe to say that by this time next week, you will have been "gifted." Enjoy the last leg of the "wait," TOY & Taffy |
aWWW...So it's definetly not coming here....well, we knew that but can't wait to see who it's for!!! |
Oh Oh how cute....I can't wait until next week to see what everybody is getting!! Hey Taffy put her signature on it..that's cool. |
Boy, did she ever! She was all over the boxes! I've never tried to pack something with a four-legged helper before... And she really, really didn't understand why these things weren't hers. I think we're raising a spoiled rotten puppy.....She thinks everything is hers, hers, hers... And it generally is....just not this time! |
Oh my, I am sure your buddy will not mind...maybe it is us... we will still be here next week.... so we will be watching... anne |

Oh dear... Sorry, SB. I'm afraid I overdid the on-my-feet type of shopping yesterday and today I am paying for it in the knee and ankle joints. That means that I won't be getting to the UPS store to ship your package until tomorrow. I did call and gave them the info (your zip code) and asked when you'd get the package if I shipped today vs. tomorrow. Turns out due to the holiday, he thinks that either day's shipment would get there on Friday although there was a slight chance that if I made it in today, you might have gotten it on Thursday. Since the delivery to your house might be the same anyway, I'm opting to go tomorrow when I'll be walking better. I had such a good, fun day yesterday that I overdid it and today I feel the pain. Tomorrow should be a rebound day. So...assuming all goes as planned, I'll ship Saturday and you'll get it on Friday. |
Aww, I hope you are feel better! I understand the toll your body takes when you are on your feet all day... even if its shopping (that can really wear you out!). Oh Taffy, how sweet of you to leave your "mark" for your SB. You are such a sweetie and I can tell your Mommy is raising you up real good! ;) |

Save the date! Taffy and TOY cordially invite their Secret Buddy and Mommy to open the surprise package arriving at their doorstep no later than Friday, the twenty-ninth of May 2009. |
~Woo Hoo~Woo Hoo~Woo Hoo! Our package is (as we speak) resting comfortably in a UPS store just waiting to go for a long ride in a really long truck. Secret Buddy, the man at the store said that your package is guaranteed to be at your house by this Friday! WOO HOO! |

Shipping weight was just over 22 pounds. Is that in the "normal" range? I thought it was but I keep thinking about the clerk's comment about children's swing sets...oh, dear! LOL Maybe I should have used tissue for the packing material instead of my "out-of-the-box" idea...although it did seem so ingenious at the time! Oh well, as long as our SB doesn't get a hernia taking the box inside, all should be well. My husband thought it was heavy; I thought it was "just right" and wouldn't change a thing except maybe the packing material. At the time I thought it was such a creative idea but now I'm just hoping I don't offend our SB! Oh dear...guess I should learn to pack normally and not try to play Martha Stewart...LOL |

Oh, Anne, it is such fun, isn't it? We wish you a safe and uneventful journey back north but you may get your package before Friday since (alas) Taffy is not your exchange buddy this time. We sure enjoy you and your comments though! Happy trails! |

Well, it's not exactly the packaging...LOL...I love the packaging. It's what I used as "filler" to keep the stuff from shifting. LOL... I would like it but then I sometimes have been told I have a warped sense of humor! It may even look like a planned part of the gift...that's kinda what I fear. It is useful but I don't want to offend...it seemed like such a good idea at the time and just fit perfectly and it served the purpose well...no shifting! However, it may offend the Yorkie...hahahahaha But the items in question are brand new...LOL...I promise! |
Now if that created a bit of mystery and suspense... it served its purpose! All of it true though...it was just what I needed to stuff in the box to stop the shifting......and it wasn't popcorn. My "toy" of choice at my house is popping the air bubble wrap that comes in boxes so I didn't have any of it in usuable shape! (Taffy doesn't even blink at my "toy" so I think she's all set for the Fourth of July fireworks the kids set off in the neighborhood.) |
I know you stuffed the box with milk bones or treats. |
LOL... Wish I'd thought of that but the box would have attracted every loose dog for miles, don't you think? LOL |
