Yesterday we got the notice that our package had arrived but I wasn't home (I guess the post man wouldn't give the package to Layla ;)) so I picked it up today after work. The package was adorably decorated with pictures of Layla and Yorkies Rule!!! Unfortunately, right after taking pictures of the box, the batteries in my camera died so I had to borrow my roommate's camera for the rest.
We absolutely LOVED our first GE! We got so much amazing stuff! Here's a list:


A beautiful brown and pink fleece blanket
An Everlasting Treat Ball
A soccer ball
A pink ball
Turkey and Duck treats
Beef and Turkey treats
A Nylabone chew
A big stuffed dragon that makes a cool squeaky sound!
An adorable pink and white dress (It's a little big but nothing a sewing machine can't fix!)
An adorable yorkie card
And best of all...
A cute picture of Maci sitting in the box :D


Thanks so much again! I haven't even seen Layla since everything was opened, she's in the corner of the kitchen with her Everlasting Treat ball :p

Oh and I forgot about the little pink bone that makes crinkle sounds and squeaks :)

I love those fleece blankets. I made myself one a year or so ago, and then 3 more last Christmas for my grandkids. They are great to snuggle in...be human or yorkie!

May I ask you being a fellow canadian.. did you have to pay duty on your parcel/..I had to pay 25.00 and darn near died..:eek:

Oh my gosh, I didn't even THINK about that... I just paid a regular amount and then I had to write down how much the stuff inside cost. I put down it was a gift. Will my buddy have to pay duty for that? I hope not! I've never sent something to the US before :( Now I'm worried

Oh Layla is very happy :D I had to take away the Everlasting Treat ball after over 3 hours straight of gnawing at it! Now she's moved on to the Nylabone :) She's carrying it all over the house. I think she's trying to find a place to hide it hehe

honey I have never had a problem going to the states.. but coming to canada.. even as a gift.. they want to know what it is worth.. and it is like this.. we all know what prices are on dog stuff.. we all buy it all the time.. so if you get a dress for 5.00 on a markdown but it was actually a 25.00 dress.. you do not put 25.00 on the paperwork.. you put 5.00... if we get some one to make our buddie a dress or outfit.. then we put down what the material cost for example. toys can be on sale.. nothing to see this.. so why put a larger amount on the toy.. we know how expensive toys can be..and when we get a parcel from the states gift or not.. we do not care what is on the green slip.. I normally would never even look.. again I know what things are worth.. so if some one says something is a dollar or two or 5 or 10.. I do not even look.. that part is immaterial to me.. but when the higer pricers are put on.. then it left me paying 25.00 to pick it up.. I really did come close to sending it back..
this is an issue that has to be dealt with prior to the next BE...many people in the states that have never sent a parcel are unaware that these things happen.. and yup I won the chance..lol I am talking of the one that came to me from the states... not the one I sent to the states.. hope this helps...anne

That's interesting. I didn't have to pay on the parcel I got, so I'm guessing my buddy won't have to pay either. I didn't even know exactly how much I paid for everything in the box, and it totally slipped my mind what some of the stuff in it was! The post office guy seemed very impatient so I just wrote down "dog toys" and an approximate amount I spent. And I really have no idea what I spent. I guess next time I should be more prepared.
And now that I'm thinking about it more, when I ordered some GE stuff from the states, I was told she put it down as $15 worth of stuff so I wouldn't have to pay.

well by this being discussed I am hoping others are learning how it is done.. I know who ever gets my name again.. I will send a pm to admin and I will have admin sent it to them.. I am old hat at getting parcels from canada.. and if toys and clothes are put.. and then like total 25.. there is never a problem.. anne
