No updates on USPS Delivery Confirmation
 
Anyone else experiencing this? The package for my buddy should of arrived on Wednesday, but USPS hasn't updated any info since the package was recieved at my post office.

I haven't received anything new either since yesterday when they attempted to deliver the box.

I'm not in the gift exchange, but I just wanted to share the fact that USPS has lost TWO of my packages in the last 2 months. I had delivery confirmation on both of them and neither were delivered.

I am a little upset with the Post Office. I paid for Priority Mail and tracking. All the tracking shows is that the accepted it in Fort Oglethorpe, Ga. around noon Thursday. Now it is Saturday...the day they said it would be delivered and no tracking is showing. I hate to pay for something when they are not doing their part.

I also have had several packages lost with USPS in the last few months. I refuse to ship anything that way.

Whattt! I don't guess I'll be shipping with USPS then, I'll just stick with UPS. Did you guys not have insurance on the parcels you shipped but got lost? Did they refund you any money on them? That's really ridiculous especially with how high shipping is.

I only had delivery confirmation on mine...I thought USPS was pretty reliable so I didn't ask for insurance...I did not realize that you had to pay for insurance either. I think UPS and FedEX provide insurance without additional cost.

I am not certain, but I do remember someone once mentioning that w/ the USPS tracking...you really can't track it because they rarely update it -- Now, I do NOT know if that is true or not, but I have heard people saying that the packages have gotten to where they were going and they still were not updated on the site.

Signature Confirmation or Adult Signature required may NOT be available for overseas deliveries (we are unsure of this), but if you can have this service for your shipment, please utilize it.

PLEASE USE SIGNATURE CONFIRMATION or ADULT SIGNATURE REQUIRED when sending a package.

Is tracking and delivery confirmation different or the same?

I sent my box out yesterday, both insured AND with delivery confirmation. I used that service recently when I returned a pair of shoes and when I checked on it, it did tell me the date and the address when the shoes were delivered. I'm not sure, but I don't think it will tell me much until the package has been delivered.

The USPS usually updates in the evening. I have had items not ever update for the most part usually update in the evening or at night

:eek: I paid for signature confirmation and tracking as well. I also paid extra for insurance. They best not lose my package!! :mad:

same here. I've been checking on here every hour to see if our SB picked up the box yet. The last notice I got was that they tried to deliver the box but noone was home.

We should be home all day on Monday ( except for running the skin kid to school) so don't worry too much! Captain Jack will be here to accept his package then....heheheee...;):angel:

USPS is really slow, the package was supposed to arrive in 7 days. Now it looks like it's going to be 14 days:thumbdown

i hate the USPS tracking system so now for GE i ship my packages UPS, why?

1) Tracking
2) Insure for $100 at no additional cost.

Here is something even more weird. Now it says my package has been delivered to my SB, but the zip code online is different than my SB's:confused: I'm just going to hope that my SB got it, I'll guess I'll find out later tonite.

I finally got an update too! It said that they had to leave notice again. I hope my SB get their box before they send it back to me.

omg please do not say this.. I am in Canada and went to the states for the week end.. and mailed my parcel... now I will worry till I get notice from my buddie it arrived.. but since I was going there anyway.. holy crap.. this scares the pants off of me.. anne

My package went out today and I wish I read this thread before I sent it.

I wanted to send the box a trackable way but it was going to cost over $20.00! So I sent it USPS. I did insure it but I didn't get the delivery confirmation because the postal worker said you can't track it.

So if my SB is reading this, please let me know as soon as your package arrives cause I'm freaking out right now! :eek:
