A Themed GE? Have we ever had one of these? I am thinking like picking a theme, or not I, but admin.;) And at LEAST one item, but could be several, that you get for your buddy has to be in/of this theme? I think it sounds fun. Anyone else? Since signups start in July, I am assuming we will get our buddy's bout August. So something summery like stars and stripes, wait we have YT friends out of the states though. Hmmm I don't know, we could do nautical/sailor stuff, that would relate to summer and it is an around the world type thing. I am just thinking out loud here, lol! I thought that if we could pick one theme then everyone would receive a themed item of some sort i.e. dress, vest, toys, little sailor hats, just things that could be done with the theme. It would be realy neat to see who got what being we are spread so far apart in the world and where we buy our yorkie things from. Of course it would have to be Yorkie related, lol! ;) You can just call me a nut, cause that whole post is a disaster, lol! That's what I get for taking my sleepy pill and then trying to post, lol:p |

Sounds cute. :) As long as we're not tied completely to the theme, I'm fine with it. My only issue is that I try to plan well in advance and some of the things I have collected already that are not gender specific may not fit a theme. Good thinking. I like summer, beach, maybe back to school (August), playing in water, ocean (fish, octopi (?), starfish) Fun! :thumbup::D |

well Valentine's Day has been a definite them in Feb. But I was think patriotic already too - seeing how this is an election year. My last buddy might have gotten some of that, but I ended up with a great buddy in England |
I had another idea this morning. Royalty. Our babies are all princes and princesses, so how about castles, knights, kings, queens, etc..? I also like the summer treats idea. That's fun! I saw another theme I liked, but probably wouldn't work for the boys. A tea party! We could incorporate the summer treats in that too, but I can't figure out how to include the boys. I did think of the Alice in Wonderland approach. That would be cool too...a crazy tea party. (Can you tell I always wanted a daughter? LOL!) |

I would hate for us all to pick one theme and try to stick with it. It is hard enough for some people to find what they want to send, I think trying to stick with a certain theme might be harder for others. What I would suggest, is someone wanting to do a theme - do it for their own buddy. So Judy if you get a girl for a buddy you could do a tea party them for that little one. :) Roxy said she could do a tea party!! |

cute idea!!! My vote is monkey theme for boys and princess for girls??? Or you could pick your own theme by starting a thread and those who choose to participate pick their theme and post so your SB can see what themes you like??? |
