ok I wanna be in next GE, tell me who sells what
 
I would like to know who sells what, I would like to finally do a GE next time..

I have seen people put there stuff on sale for GE, how soon is this done prior to...

I want to start getting some things, I am looking at all the gifts.. to get idea's.. and gee I do not think any one ONLY SPENDS 20.00...
I want to know so I am prepared for the next one.. I do not like to get into panic mode for anything... LOL

so help me.. if you do not want to post.. just pm me... thanks all...

Usually, during GE sign up someone starts a thread here in the GE section just for those having GE sales.

OR you can always look under featured sellers and yorkie products for sale sections...because there are normally plenty of posts there about GE sales.

I find it hard to shop BEFORE knowing our GE buddy....we all sign up and fill out a list of information of what is needed, what can not be had, what we don't need, etc...something that helps with shopping....so, I normally get just a few "generic" things that can be for a boy or girl and then wait for the list to come out...to make sure I don't get anything that they can't have or already have.

And...no, I really do not know or think that people just spend $20...that is just the MINIUM that Admin sets (and that does not include shipping or packing/wrapping materials).

You definitely need to sign up...soooooooo much fun! I have been a member here since '05 and I believe I have been in all of the GE's!!!

Aww I'd love to sign up too, still too young, but maybe by the time the next one is up I'll be able to donate etc. and sign up! All the packages look awesome and I'm dying to make one of my own for someone :)

For the most part you can buy toys and stockpile those. More personalized things it's harder to buy being as you never know the size of your buddy. So make a bin and collect toys you find on sale. That way you can be ahead.

We do that too....we only do plush toys though because a lot of people do not allow their babies to have latex/rubber toys. Some other things can be generic items too...yorkie related goodies for the mom, etc.

It is hard to buy things ahead of time but I always pick up cute things I find on sale in the hopes that I'll be able to use something. I had so many clothes last ge and then our buddy said they didn't really like clothes. :eek: Oh well, I still managed to find other goodies. There are always sales posted as it gets closer and once you know your buddy, sometimes they give you ideas which makes it easier. But it is a lot of fun and I really enjoy it. :p

I agree...start a box or something where you throw things in there as you find them on sale :) this way you are ahead of the "game" with it :) many of us offer sales on GE things...if you look in the yorkie products for sale forum, there are usually some GE sales posted. I know I always offer a discount on anything on my website for the GE's. And now that I will not be working anymore, I can devote my time to getting the orders out quickly...so I am looking forward to the next one too :D

Thanks all for posting.. I need to get ordering some so I have stuff for the next one.. I know clothing is something that cannot be bought ahead of time.. but gee do that many people sew.. or just shop.. and where do you all shop.. my god there are clothing items on these pictures that I am sure are not from members who sell stuff...

I guess I need to spend some time in finding out who makes what..
get some extra toys going too...LOL

For clothing, I don't sew (wish I did), but normally, on the GE sign ups, our Buddies have always mentioned something specific that they would like...like a dress from a YT member or a tee w/ a specific saying on it or something like a cartoon (like carebears) that they like, etc. So, that makes it a little easier....Plus, once we get their measurements and clothing size, the fun begins!

I always look for cute tees online and various dog sites or at Wal-Mart, Target, PetsMart, etc...(local or online). For most sites, I just type in the tee I am looking for and nomrally find several sites w/ that saying or character or what have you.

I also always do my best to buy from fellow YT members stores too! Even it if is a treat or a toy or something actually made....

You will be fine...really!!! And remember, your package doesn't have to go out right away...we normally have 3-4 weeks to shop and get things ready to mail. So you will have plenty of time!
