Oranges & Chips OK... so... I had to change the data for my new Yorkie's chip. When I talked to the Rep, she recommended that I also get an orange collar with a name & phone number on it. She said this would be a "visual" in case she got out, then some dog people and most all professional dog people know that this is an "inside pet" and has gotten out. Is this statement true about "most all know" about the color orange? She also stated that orange has a high visibility impact (I agree) so others can spot a collar better on a lost dog and know that she belongs to somebody and not just a stray. This makes sense to me also. I just wanted to share what was told to me by someone who is in the profession of lost pets and get some feedback about "most all know". Thanks for reading. :) |
I never heard of that but it's interesting. :D |
I also never heard of it, I don't think anyone knows ORANGE means dog is inside pet. But orange is an eye-catching color. Amazon has all color collars with name and phone number imprinted on them. Orange is not Cody's fav. color, but it is loud lol. I am putting this on FB, this is how word gets out. Thanks for this tip. |
Matese: orange is so not my favorite color at all but I have to say it does look good on my Muffin. I'd post a pic but I don't have one yet with her wearing the collar. When I do I will post. I also never thought to post this on FB but now I will, thanks for your input! |

With golden tan yorkie hair orange complements their color, just not my fav. color lol. Looking forward to seeing little Muffin in her collar. |
Never heard of the orange color thing although it makes some sense. A name tag with your mobile number would be also effective. Show us some pictures of Muffin with the orange collar. |
My avatar is Muffin wearing her orange collar. I just uploaded it and when I try to share a picture in the post, it states my photos are too big. |
