Boys in Dresses Hmmmmm - just asking - does anyone put a dress on their mail Yorkie? Just asking - NOT JUDGING! The dresses are so cute and well who would know and would care? Just saying..... :D Thoughts? |
I think you can, who would know I don't have male yorkies I have two females but if I had a boy I would put little shirts and bow ties and overalls on him maybe a bit of leather LOL |
Leather @mybellababy - Well I like that idea - leather maybe with some faux chain. Where is my sewing machine? :) But I'm still thinking of that little dress I saw  Poor Biscuit - I hope I don't confuse him.... |
There are so many cute boy clothes out now with the t-shirts and jackets why would you want him like a girl ????? I put scrunchies in his hair and I dress my boy and girl so they kind of match |
Please send me links or names of where I can find cute clothes for boys. Sounds like I just need to keep looking - sorry Buscuit for even thinking about it :eek: |

Let him be a boy and show his manly side. |
I have for modeling purposes when I've made dresses for customers. But otherwise, the boys wear hoodies if anything at all. They do wear boys daily. |
I will let my little man be a man. I've been viewing sites and have found a few things I like. They just are not very exciting (color or designs). I might have a few things made so I get what I want. Thanx for all the positive feedback |
I always had girls, I never went into pet shoppes because my girls were afraid of them, I guess all the doggie smells. I never knew they had such cute dresses, now I have a rescue boy who is not afraid of the pet stores, he has tons of macho T-shirts, bandanas but lol, I HAD to buy a dress, nooooo, I don't take him out in it, it's for home time, or, when I have company over, just as a joke, my friends scold me for putting a dress on him lol, but it's just for fun. |
1 Attachment(s) Everyone always thinks that Dooney is a girl, I'm constantly having to correct them. Hubby put a pink shirt on him one day...gotta say, he sure is cute😍😍😍 |
I would too for modeling purposes, or if we were Scottish I wouldn't mind if he wore the family's kilt. |

I see lots of male in harnesses made from various fabrics that are boy oriented. They are like the girls dresses just without the skirt. |
I am getting my boy this weekend, I bought him a couple of cute button down shirts. Aside from a kilt, I wouldn't put him in a dress though. |

I dress my little Dave in hoodies(one of which is pink), sweaters, coats, tuxes, and he even has a lamb costume & a yoda costume.. A lot of the time he looks more like a girl (i like putting bows in his hair).. But nope no dresses. But honestly I don't think that the dogs know the difference or would care. haha. So feel free to dress your little guy however you want. |
I dress my boys up in ties and shirts. |
I love dressing up my little girl but if i had a boy dog we would have to go manly all the way. I have four human sons and two human daughters so that might influence my feelings about it but...yeah. A satin suit and tie for my man! |
I hadn't yet bought my Emma any dresses, I do nice bows and cute collars. Boys in dresses, no and no. My Troy had some hoodies, t-shirts and things like that but no dresses. |
Male Yorkie in Dresses Why not? show dogs often wear bows. Enjoy your fur babies although there are now a larger selection of cute outfits for males. |
I'm in the process of making a kilt for Loki. I say put them in whatever you want to put them in. Loki's clothing tends to run more goth/punk so he has some items that are considered girlish but I don't care. He likes them, I like them. That's all that matters. |
Sounds really interesting |
Haha. I laugh because of Tibbe's reaction to clothes - stares daggers at you(and I mean DAGGERS) and won't move in them! Not putting any dress on my little man! Acts so male he'd look like a fool wearing skirts anyway. My Jilly girl would have been the dress type but she hated clothes, too. She acted so femnine & girly-girl while retaining her Yorkiness, would have looked sweet in a dress but looked so unhappy in clothes. I never was sure they were 100% safe in clothing so rarely used anything but sweaters/coats in bad weather for outings. And Tibbe hates clothes, anything that inhibits him in any way except a thin, nylon collar for his "Home Again" tag. He'll tolerate a sweater/coat in 10 degree weather but loves the cold and would do fine w/out it in our usually mild winters. He'll stay out in the coldest weather we have or rain until I MAKE him come in. Loves the outdoors. |
