Hello from NYC! Best Booties for Yorkies? What is your favorite? Hello!!! I'm a new puppy Mom and couldn't be more thrilled. We live in New York City, and when she's able to be outside, I want to make sure that I protect her tiny paws. There are so many different types of booties and shoes on the market. I'm stumped with this being the first time I fit my baby girl with her first pair of booties. In your experience, what would you recommend? I'm really excited to hear your recommendations!! (On a side note... my puppy will be around 7lbs when she's fully grown.) |
Karen at AllDogBoots.com .... she's the best! |

do you know that NYC had a ton of events for pups, plus a very active Pup Scout troop. I am from Long Island so Lola and I make frequent trips back to the island and the city so we are now members of the troop. Lots of yorkies, morkies, chi's pom and so forth. I swear there is a doggie event each week. If that is something you are interested in, let me know and if you use facebook I will hook you up with the group |
also if you plan on having her out and about I highly recommend investing in a pet stroller, it keeps them safe when on the streets that are really crowded. It also gives you baby a safe place to rest if you are attending an event and she tires out. The stroller is not meant as a substitute for a good walk, just for those times when walking is to difficult because of weather or crowds. here is my facebook album from our last NYC trip in Feb, one of the gals from YT that is from NY met up with me and the two of us and our pups had a lot of fun https://www.facebook.com/donna.w.bla...3392699&type=3 |
Oh my goodness! Yes, I would love to be connected! Thank you so much for extending the invitation! |
Donna, I'm thrilled you mention the stroller. I literally just ordered one last night. I'm an overprotective puppy mom, (I'm sure we all are), and don't trust other people, dogs, taxis and whatever else there is on the street. I'm trying out the Regal Pet Stroller by Gen7Pets and should be delivered shortly. And.... YOUR PHOTOS?? They're so darling and beautiful I have tears in my eyes. What sweet little babies you have! |
Donna, p.s. I just sent you a friend request on facebook. My name is Nichole Rhodes :) |
Nicole, LOL good thing I looked at the thread again, I deleted your friend request, when it came in I could not see any of your photos or if we had friends in common so I deleted it. Sorry send it again and I will accept. I will be happy to connect you to the doggie groups in NYC they really have awesome times, I swear if you wanted to you could go to an event every week what part of the city do you live in? |
In fact one of the big events is tomorrow, its called Paws in the City https://www.facebook.com/events/620814824640919/ |
I tried to pull up the old friend request but I could not. I found what I think is your profile, but it looks like it set up that you can not receive friend requests, if you plan to get involved with the NYC stuff that could be a problem so you might want to start a new page for pet friends, you could combine your name with your pets name, lots of people had pet only profile pages but facebook has been shutting those down and making people turn them into fan type pages which I guess are not as user friendly. so anyway, please do send me new request |
Donna, I just sent you another friend request. Your advice is just plain awesome. Thank you so much... love the idea about Facebook. That's such a great idea. In the meantime, I friended you through my personal Facebook page. |
p.s. I live on the Upper East Side. 65th Street. |
It must be great to have all the dog things going on, I do visit NY and Nj a lot but impossible to bring the dogs. I love the New York dog shop on 73rd street . Welcome to YT and hope you have lots of fun with your new puppy. |
