Anyone think yet of what they wanna dress up their babies in for Christmas? We did beautiful Tartan/Plaid theme outfits made by an amazing YT member last year. This year, I have no idea what I want to do. Give me ideas so I can steal them as my own haha jk I would also love to see what you've done in the past as well.

I am still trying to figure out what I'm going to do Look forward to some ideas

funny I was just thinking today of a what I could do that would be new and amazing....no bells going off yet!

Well I'm fairly new to the doggy sewing world and Christmas is too far away to give it any thought. I do want to do something up for the CCE so I guess I should get started on some idea of my own.

Im thinking something simple like red corduroy with white lace or something sheer for the girls and a green and red vest or simple bow tie for Quincy.

I have been sewing up a Christmas Storm and will have to take a few pictures. I have been trying to experiment with different styles.
On facebook I have seen dogs in fancy quilted harness vests so I thought I would try making one. I had a neighbor teach me how to make quilted fabric which we did it in a diamond pattern on cranberry colored velvet. I then made the vest and added gold and rhinestone beads on the cross lines of the diamond pattern. I added huge bow, I was so pleased with this, it came out very elegent and might be the best thing I have made.

I also decided to try making some outfits out of fancy Christmas napkins and placemats that I do not use. And since I wanted a few different looks with the same Christmas napkin I made two detachable skirts for it. I had an old dress with a beautiful red curly tutu, and since I no longer liked the bodice I cut it apart and ran Velcro along the waist area of the tutu. The other skirt is a green and gold stripe. So now I have three different looks made from one bodice. LOL I am calling it "From Sporty to Evening" :D

I was given some fabric that I love, it is a navy background filled with light blue and silver sparkle Christmas ornaments. I combined two materials for the skirt and made a big bow out of Christmas sparkle ribbon and attached a few tiny Christmas ornaments to the bottom of the bow.

I have one more outfit to make that will be from the placemat which is deep green velvet with gold swirls. I bought taffeta in red and green plaid to use on the other side and taking a page from Dawn I am going to try to make it reversible and it will have a gold skirt.

I must say Lola sure does not need all these Christmas outfits BUT I am surprised on how much pleasure I get from making them.

LOL I know this post would be better with pics but have been too busy sewing to take any.

Nice job Donna, I still want to try my hand at the detachable skirt thing. Boy both you and your DH are on a roll doing all sorts of neat stuff. Hopefully you share photos of your work. :D

there is a pic of the bed my hubby is making, still a work in progress, then I have to make the pillow and want to figure out how to sew in a zipper

Fabric bought making Christmas dresses tomorrow Now to think of the background

Just pleated a bodice for Izzy. Thinking of using velvet for the for the skirt. Maybe matching velvet harnesses for the boys.

I was able to pick up cute Mr and Mrs Claus outfits at a discount store that I think I am going to use that this year. I need to think of a background as well. I wanted to do a leopard christmas theme but I might wait til next year. The outfits I would have gotten for that are so cute but little pricey.

I was gonna puff up Mia's hair too to make it look jersey shore and spike up Geno's hair as well haha
