D ring placement
 
I have a question. I see some harnesses have d rings at the bottom of the harness and some on the center of the harness. Does it matter? Is it better control one way?

Great question! I'd like to know input in this too. I've always placed mine at the bottom but would like to learn how to do them the other way too.

Ooops....I moved the d ring to the center on the one vest you made for me Aymee when I altered it. I think I feel as if I have better control of Wallee when it is closer to the middle of his shoulder blades...but I have yet to walk him in it to see. One of the harnesses I had for him when I first got him (similar to a pupia vest) had the d ring in the midle like that. :confused:

It's prettier to attach it at the bottom but I think it's better to walk them on a harness places in the center.

I agree, the center placement gives more control and doesn't pull on the neck as much IMO. I'm all a out not pulling on their little necks:)

That's exactly how I feel, so for the vests that I make to use for walking they go in the center, but for the stylish dresses that are used for inside pet type events then they go at the waist or I have a button made so a harness can be worn underneath.

even though I prefer the d ring in the center, I did walk Lola in the dress you made, and it worked fine. I think with a dress the bodice might be a little shorter than the harness vests are, so that helps. Also the dress you made had tons of Velcro, which you know I like and you really made the d ring secure so in that instance I think it was fine.
