Valentine Outfit
 

Hey guys! Well this is not doggy clothing, but I will be making Mollie an outfit to match her Mommy. I made this top and pants for my Mom. My Mom teaches 5th grade. Today, after school, she will be teaching a workshop on how to use Pinterest. The workshop is Valentine's Day themed so we thought she should match her workshop. We have made many Valentine's Crafts to share that we found ideas for on Pinterest. I am helping her at the workshop and will take more pictures there, but I snapped a couple of pictures of her before she left this morning. She was just too cute! My Mom is a very petite woman and just always makes me smile. She is my BFF and we love to spend time together. I hope you guys won't mind me sharing her new outfit.

The top and bottom was made using Simplicity 4149. The neck lining part was a bit tricky, but Mom helped me to figure it out. The pants came together very quickly and were super easy. I think any of you guys could make these pants. They were as easy as pajama pants. The fabric on the top was ordered online. We matched up the ruffles on the sleeve (which we altered a bit from the pattern) at Hancock Fabric. The pants are a gaberdine material and is from Hancock too.

Is the v neck part a ribbed cording or something other than fabric.

Donna...the neckline has added trim on it. We actually found the trim at Wal Mart. It is a pink and has many colors of this sparkly thread running through the trim. I just stitched it on after we finished the top.

ahhhh thanks I thought it looked differnt, you know how i love me some trim, LOL can you get a close pic of up of it later

Fabulous! Your mom is so cute! It is really neat that you and your mom are so close. My mom passed away, it will be 7 years on 2/12/13 and I miss her - we were BFFs too and loved to do things together. Enjoy all the time you can with your mom and family in general. Life is really too short.
