2 New Boy Outfits & A Funny

Hey guys! I finished up 2 boy pantsuits this morning and thought I would share. I snapped these pix on my phone, so excuse the low quality.

First, a simple one out of some bone fabric. This really could be gender neutral I think. I put it on KS and it's cute! LOL

Second, 'hot dog hot diggity dog'! LOL. This fabric cracked me up and I had to sew with it. I wish I had a little weenie dog to put this on! But it looks mighty cute on a Yorkie too. Katie Scarlett liked it because I said the word 'weenie' and she thought it was time for a treat! LOL

And the funny...

check out these pix my Mom sent me last night during Camden's bath! He is getting quite the lil' belly! They say he is a heavy lil' chunk! I can't wait to hold him! These pix made me laugh and I thought it might make you guys giggle too!

Hey, I don't mean to be a negative nancy but the underside of your outfits seem a little long. I think most boys might actually pee on the outfits.

Thanks to you guys for the positive comments, as for the boys possibly having a tee tee issue I guess I'll have to find a boy doggy to experiment with. I use a pattern for these and the creator of the pattern said these are perfectly fine for the boys and the girls. And I am in no way trying to start a fuss but if you don't have anything nice to say, I would appreciate it if you would just not say anything about my work. I work extremely hard on my sewing and it kind of hurts my feelings to have it spoken negatively about. If I want constructive criticism, I will (and have in the past) ask for it. Again, I do not mean any of the aforementioned ugly or rude in any way. I am a no drama momma and never get involved in silly fusses here on yt or in real like. But I would appreciate it if you keep negative comments to yourself. I know this is a public board and you can say what you want within the rules but know that it can and does sometimes hurt someone's feelings who put a lot of hard work into their creations. That is all I will say. Thanks!

I thought the black ones were that much last time I saw one... that tail is a bit odd, reminds me of something else...can't put my finger on it, lol!

I thought that too at first... but the dog model's rear leg is a bit forward ... if it was standing more squared the material wouldn't look as bulky (not the exact word I'm looking for), and some excess is needed there so the dog can walk and run...

As a designer myself, I feel it's important to listen to constructive criticism. It is very hard to learn how to tolerate it without getting your feelings hurt esp when you've put your heart and soul into a creation, but when people give you constructive criticism you should listen. Dvlshangel was not trying to being negative, she was telling you something she's learned from her experience. As I have too, not having a boy of my own, and having fostered a few of them. I forget they have different needs. they routinely pee on their front arms. Or on the bottoms of their shirts if left too long on the underside.

I too sometimes buy store bought patterns thinking it's a shortcut, but quickly realize it's not a shortcut when I have to redraft the entire pattern. Just bc it's a pattern you bought at a store does not mean it's flawless.

Honestly, from the pics, it looks like the cut would get in the way.

I agree. You hit the nail on the head here Priscilla. And no, I don't think DvlshAngel was being mean...just honest. I appreciate honesty. I'd also listen to the masses if I really wanted to improve on my skills.

Susana was giving input on something she saw that maybe could use improvement. Maybe she wanted to place an order? Nobody is perfect. Criticism and suggestions is how good businesses grow!!

I will do my best to try and not get upset when being given constructive criticism, but I would be lying if I said it did not hurt my feelings last night. I am over it this morning. Maybe I was having a emotional connection to the outfit, maybe it was pms, but it did bother me. And I promise I do not mean to come off as rude or being mean, but I did think it was important to say what I was feeling. I know we all think differently and some think nothing of the way things are worded, but some people do and I am one of them. I hope I didn't offend anyone or make them mad by voicing my opinion. If so, I do apologize. I love yt and wouldn't want it to be a place I wouldn't want to come to.

The problem is that is was worded perfectly. Constructive critism not attacking at all. You over reacted to a genuine concern she has about her make dog peeing on the outfit. She meant no harm :)

You are free to your own opinion, but you do not know me. I do not believe anyone I'm acquainted with online has the ability to judge whether someone they do not know is over reacting or not. I also find it uncanny how so many seem to suddenly be interested in the fashion forum threads who I haven't noticed post anything on the positive side when it comes to my posts. I'm starting to feel like I'm being singled out and attacked. I understand why do many come here and leave when they feel they are being mistreated. All I was asking was for people to keep negativity to themselves. I am not trying to run a business. If you had kept up with my sewing history, you would know its only a hobby of mine and I sew so I can help donate to dog related charities that are important to me. Again, I don't mean to be unfriendly to you guys as you have been so helpful to me, I was only asking for you to see both sides and realize that what you think is the so called right opinion isn't always so. I don't believe I am right or wrong, I just feel I need to defend my position and not be walked all over, which is exactly how I'm feeling this morning.
