Very cute! Love them all! |
Thanks so much ladies! ;) Now if I could just find a I Love My Biewer.. |
Sherry those are very cute, I have a question for you, on the I love my daddy dresses the top looks like a ribbed fabric, is that a onsie or is it fabric that you just sew from scratch. I have a thread on here, called is this a onsie dress, I am looking for something like that, I have all the material except for the top and LOL I don't sew, if you do customer requests and work with supplied material i have about 4 dresses I would like to buy. thanks Donna |
those are beautiful!!! |
http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yt-...sie-dress.html Here is the thread I was talking about, take a look at the photos, also I meant to say Daddy's girl dresses, that are on you ETSY Shop |
Gorgeous!!!! |
Just beautiful! Love the embroidery and the fabric colors are so pretty together. |
Tena, I was going to say you should get the Daddy's girl dress for Pat for fathers day, then he could put it on her when he takes Zhoie for a walk with the pink leash. Seriuosly I am going to get one for Lola and give it to Ian on fathers day, they are on her ETSY shop or FB page. |
sherry do you do the emobroidery yourself? if so may i ask what you use for a machine? |
Beautiful job! I love the 'it's not easy being this cute' dress :p |

Thanks for asking this Donna. Everything I make is "from scratch" so no, it's not a onesie on the Daddy's girl dress. Those are made with either rib knit or flat knit to give the shirt section of the dress some stretch so they're comfortable. That particular dress has an appliqued GIRL as well as embroidery. I'm willing to use your supplied fabric but I need to make a few things clear. I've seen chat about using fat quarters for dresses. That's fine for the teeny tinies usually but honestly I prefer 1/3 yard since most skirts take more fabric than the quarters are wide. A fat quarter is a one-fourth yard cut of fabric that (usually) measures 18" x 22" instead of the typical 9" x 44" quarter-yard cut. What I generally use as a rule of thumb is the waist size x 3 (4 on the fuller skirts) That would mean seaming the 2 pieces together which invariably shows. IMO, that's just not the way I like to do things. If you'd like to chat more about having me make dresses for you, please pm me. |

I use the Brother SE 400. I think it's a great machine for a smalltime hobbiest like me :D I'm certain there is a thread here in the Fashion forum about machines. I'll look for it & pm if I find it. |
Ok I will PM you, but LOL I always buy to much fabric, since I like the skirts full, but I can sure understand your concern. thanks for the info |
