| VelvetRose | 03-23-2012 07:07 AM | Thanks once again everyone. I'm thinking I'm going to give it another try today. This time though.... I will have all 3 of my boys around and no one to help with them. So wish me luck. =) Quote:

That's the pattern I want to learn to make. I've read and read it, somewhere along the line I keep getting lost, hehe. Maybe it will go better when I actually have time for hands one...if ever:( | I was the same way. I read that darn pattern for what seemed to be a week. Every night before I went to bed I would go over it, hoping I would know exactly what to do when it came time to actually make the dress. No lie, I did get confused for about 2 mins when it came to the top but I figured it out. I do believe that when you actually get down to making it, it will all make sense. I hope you get to give it a try soon. =) Quote:

We're all our own worst critics!;) You did a great job on Darlas dress. I read somewhere that what we call mess ups are really just creative juices flowing. In my case that means I'm a creative wiz!:p
Add & subtract- heck redo the whole pattern!- but remember it's called a pattern(suggestion) so make it your own one of a kind creation made especially for your beautiful Darla! |
Soooo true. I keep looking at it thinking on how I can change it to my liking, but I'm also starting to look at it with pride. I mean, it was my very first dress. The only other things I've made before were the curtains and valances in my house. So I'm finally happy with it. Thanks for the positive reinforcement. I need that sometimes. hehe =) |
