Today's dress... 2 Attachment(s) Hey guys! After my excursion to Hobby Lobby and spending some down time with the hubby, I sat at my desk to practice some more. I will be donating this dress to Tessa. I sure hope her and her Mommy will like it. This one is not as bold as my other fabric choices. The fabric just looked dainty and feminine to me. I hope you can tell with this pic. It's a beautiful shade of blue with creams and burundy's. Have a great night all! |
very pretty.. you are quite a seamstress now..LOL hugs, |
Lovely...very nice! Lucky Tessa will look so pretty in her new dress:) |

You are doing such Beautiful Work!!!! You should open up a little dress shop!! :) |
I can't belive how quickly you are turning these dresses out, how many have you made now. I was thinking about this, are you getting KS dresses a little bit big, because if I recall she is about 6 or 7 months so she will probably grow a little more. If she does it will be a lucky pup that gets her hand-me-downs:D |
beautiful your work is really amazing for how short a time you have been sewing! |
Beautiful dress!! You are becoming quite the seamstress Aymee :D Are you going to start selling dresses?! |
Dresses Where are you finding patterns? I have one but I have gotten tired of just one pattern. Thanks. Julia |
Thanks guys! I am having so fun sewing! DBlain...I am making her dresses in an XS. Right now she still has a little bit of room to grown. She will be 8 months old March 10th. If she outgrows these, I guess I shall donate and make more in a size small. LOL. :) CouversMom...I would love to sell a few dresses. I have been thinking about it. I think I would sell them maybe on my Etsy shop or on the YT section. I need to donate more money to do that though. I only did the $10 donation when I signed up on YT and I read where you need to donate $25 to post in the 'for sale' section right? I am thinking about it though. I would like to be able to go to the fabric store and not use my hubby's card. He doesn't care, but I just hate telling him...I went to so and so today. ;) JuliaHoward...I am using commercial patterns found at local stores, online such as Simplicity, McCalls, etc. For these dresses, I have been mixing 2 patterns together...one for the top and one for the bottom. You can find patterns online too. Check out this thread of a list of patterns too: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yt-...tern-list.html |
wow...your hereby a certified seamstress!!! Very,very,very, nice!!! |
If she outgrows these, I guess I shall donate and make more in a size small. LOL. Amyee, Like others have I'm sure, I conceived of a couple of ways to stretch the dresses so they can be used for larger size girls..... I'll take some pictures and start a thread on that later. Oh and BTW, you are officially a seamstress now (and a designer)....see it wasn't too hard :wavey: |
