I can't stop!!! I just can't stop buying fabric!!! I'm still learning to use my sewing machine. It's just a simple Brother until I can actually make things. Lol Everytime I step into JoAnns though.....I come out with at least 3 yards. I find something cute and go " ooh that would make a cute dress." or "aww I'm going to make a blanket!" And yet....still nothing made. Lol! I need to start learning before I turn into a fabric hoarder!!!! |
Did you get a pattern yet?:D |
I understand completely. I make no sew blankets and I have fleece out the ears! :D |

A fabric hoarder :sidesplt::sidesplt: Too funny. |
You sound like me...I could open a fabric store I have so much :eek: I could very well be a fabric hoarder...LOL I need to get busy and make a few things. |
Sad thing is that I just bought more!!! Lol. I do have patterns....still in the package. So many spools of ribbon, and too much Velcro. I'm determined to make stuff for Bella......this weekend I will have to start before my title becomes...."Danielle...The Fabric Hoarder". Hahaha!!! |
I wish I could offer you some advice on how to get out of a fabric store without buying a few yards, but I haven't figured out how to do it for myself. I guess I just need to sew faster, so that I am using up my purchases! |
I would be ashamed to show my sewing room...fabric hoard:D |

I'm feeling so much better after reading this thread. I bought a nice machine, all kinds of sewing tools, patterns, beautiful fabric and notions (including everything to make a fancy Santa suit for Max), and it is all sitting in my closet unused. The only thing I have accomplished is making the world's ugliest squeaky toys. Oh well, the boys love my toys. :p |
I do the same thing! |

That's my favorite part...looking through all of the cute fabric and finding patterns that go together. I'm a bit of a hoarder as well! :) |

oh... I guess I can join this club!! When the girls moved out I took over the upstairs "bonus" room. it is as big as two bedrooms. I have 3 sewing machines, paper die cutter, quilting tables, embroidery supplies, the closet is full, book case of cook books, a amour and several large storage bins of fabric.. threads. aww.. oh and I have a tv, my wii and lap top. I could never leave:) sad to say, we are selling this house and moving into our new house!! It is smaller but I still have a sewing room:):):)- but just a bed room size:cool: |

Oh yeah...there is definite shame here too :D I have my sewing machine cabinet set up in my sunroom...so I can have the bright light to really enjoy my sewing projects. ;)....right. Here's just how big a fabric hoarder I am....I work from home, so I have an office, that I had to buy a hugh credenza to hold all my office supplies....BECAUSE....I took the hugh double door closet and had DH put wall to wall shelves (5) high in it....and it is crammed full of various fabrics and such. Oh and talk about notions...you name it, I got it. Heck, I have 3 different tools to put on snaps, tons and colors of snaps. GET THIS...I have never put a snap on in my life....:eyetearss And I have the itch to go to JoAnn's...ugh. Oh, the shame of the SICKNESS...:p |
