May I ask where you all get your bows/clothes? I'm new and was wondering, where do you guys purchase your bows? Also, and this may be a dumb question, but how soon can Yorkie's start wearing bows? And what about cute sweaters/dresses? We haven't got our baby yet, but hopefully by December/January. I was just curious. Thanks for any advice you can give! Have a great day all! :) |
YT vendors are awesome! I love custom made articles, the fit is always good. Bow Biz, and Darlin Beauxs are great, and both are YT vendors. For clothes I go to Ross, Petco, PetSmart, YT Vendors, Target in the dollar section and dog section, and I make him little things by turning onesies into doggy clothes. |
Connie, a member here on YT (that's her username), makes beautiful dresses that are custom-made to your dogs measurements. She also makes matching bows. I just saw a thread of Peachbongi's beautiful sweaters she makes. |
For bows, I can't really find any online that aren't overly priced, so I go to "Claire's" that kids jewelry store in the mall and they have bows for little kids that work grea on Bailey... I also use a band. For clothes I get them at target, petsmart, Walmart, petco!.. And care a lot. Sometimes eBay if I'm looking for something specific |
I make cute clothes and embroidered barrette/clips, dog toys, doggie blankets & snuggle sacks. Lady Jane (Linda), makes really awesome dog beds with all proceeds going to Yorkie Rescue. I also have bought cute shirts, sweaters, jackets from Target Dollar Spot. I have found some cute shirts at Dollar Tree, also. Most Pet Stores also have cute clothing. |
Bows: Darlin Beaux (Amy) and Bow Biz (Susan). Both of these ladies do fantastic jobs! And custom orders are not a problem. Clothes: Connie at Conniedressmydog.com and Cynthia at Prissy Paw. Also Ashlee at Fairytailfashions but her store is closed for a few months. I have also had a dress made from Yorkie Haven Rescue. They made me an Arkansas Razorback dress. Those are the main ones. I have been very very pleased with everything I have got from them. |
I get Brielle's clothes from all over, YT members, Ashlee-Owned by Fiona, Jodi-Sissy angels wear, sharon-Shoelfelmeyer, Ryan RDB911 and different on line doggie sites. I would say the majority of her dresses are from Owned by Fiona. I have gotten bows from 2 YT members Bow Biz and Darlin Beaux. If you go to the For Sale section you will see posts, some new, some older from YT members that make clothes and bows. You can't go wrong with a YT member:) |
We order frequently from Fairytails - Ashlee owned by Fiona, because she customs fits and they always fit so nicely, plus she is pretty reasonable. I think she took the summer off, though, so hopefully she will be back in the fall. |

Wow! Thank you all so much! I am checking out all of these right away! I can't wait to buy all this fun stuff! :) You guys are great! I am so loving YT! |
Hello. I also make clothing upon request. I love to make jammies and nighties but I also do dresses and other clothing items, blankets, etc. I can customize them with your baby's name. Check out my reviews by searching T. Bumpkins on YT and you will see some of my work. |
I get my bows on ebay. My favorite YT vendors are Fairy Tale Fashion by Ashlee and Prissy Paw Fashions by Cynthia. I ABSOLUTELY love both of their work and have never been disappointed!! I do get clothes more often from Ashlee though as her dresses and harnesses are more affordable and her service is top notch!! I have also gotten clothes from Walmart and Ross :D |

Rory and Lane are little clotheshorses. We get most of our bows from M'Ladys Dog Bows (YT member Ladymom). She is happy to custom match a bow to any outfit for no extra charge. Her website is M'Lady's Dog Bows There is no certain age to start a pup wearing bows, but I'd say the sooner you start the better. I'd start with a grooming band when your pup has enough hair to pull it up. Once she has adjusted to the grooming band, you can add in light weight/smaller bows and gradually work your way up to the bigger ones. :) For clothes, we have lots of favorites! Our favorite designers for custom made dresses are the following: go.fetch/tonimari (YT member Tiger's Mom): go fetch & company™ Prissy Paw Fashions (YT member crb): Prissy Paw Fashions Home Page SissyAngelWear (YT member LuvMySissy): Home go.fetch/tonimari also makes adorable pajamas, nighties and overalls. Prissy Paw Fashions makes great bows too. SissyAngelWear also makes great nighties. There are a lot of wonderful YT vendors. You really can't go wrong with them! :D As far as sweaters go, some of our favorites are from Oscar Newman (Oscar Newman - Pet Couture). You can only purchase the past season's items on their website, but there are many online doggie boutiques who carry the current season. One of our favorites is Luxury Dog Clothes, Designer Dog Bed, Dog Carriers, Fancy Small Dog Clothing - Poochie Heaven (YT member Poochieheaven), who also offers discounts for YT members. Other off the rack designers we love are: Ruff Ruff Couture (DESIGNER DOG CLOTHING, CARRIERS AND ACCESSORIES | RUFF RUFF COUTURE® |) Wooflink (WOOFLINK - Hip & Sassy Designer Dog Clothes, Pet Carrier, Pet Jewelry <www.wooflink.com>) Monkeydaze (Monkey Daze) HipDoggie (Hip Doggie Clothing Company for Man's Best Friend) Louisdog (www.louisdog.com) I See Spot (www.iseespot.com) If your head hasn't exploded yet, keep in mind you can often find several of these brands at other online doggie boutiques, especially since some of the websites are only for displaying the collection and not for ordering. As you can tell I do most of my shopping for the girls online, Walmart used to have cute clothes, especially around the holidays, but recently my local stores haven't had too much. Some of it looks cheap, but a lot of it is really cute! Target often has dog tees and sometimes in the winter cheap little sweaters in the $1/$2.50 bin section. It depends on where you live but I've heard people can find some cute dog stuff at Marshall's, TJMaxx, Home Goods, Ross, etc. It's kind of a crapshoot if they'll have something cute and in your pup's size, but I think this is a great place to buy cheap clothes for a puppy who is most likely going to outgrow them. It seems it's often the very small sizes that are left. Of course, there are Petsmart and Petco too, but I honestly find some of those clothes to look cheap and be overpriced, so I'd usually rather order something online that is much cuter and only slightly more expensive. It just depends on your personal preference, though I will say I really like some of the new tees Petsmart has come out with recently.:p ETA: We have some adorable Christmas jammies from T. Bumpkins & Co. (YT member 107barney). |
