Teething? Our yorkie is 5 months old and we think she is teething. We have noticed that she has lost a couple of teeth. Also is has been whinning a lot more then she usually does, which I am sure is related to the situation. I am just wondering if there is anything we can do to make the teething process better? |
I let mine chew on a cold washrag and bully sticks. They've seemed to help her  |
she likes chewing on socks, I am not sure if that helps or hurts the situation |
My lil one is 5 months also and has lost 2 teeth so far, she right now also has a second set of the bottom fangs growing in and and a second set of upper molars. I'm hoping that the baby ones will come out. I'm trying to help them along by playing alot of tug of war with her Bobo and Rope toys.... I like the idea of the cold washcloth...Maybe will try wetting one down and freezing it.....I have given her ice cubes to chomp on, which she loves but need to monitor her when she has those...don't want her choking on them...she has bully sticks also, but need to keep a close eye on her with those too. She got a piece chewed off the other day and when I went to get it out of her mouth there was a string of it about 3 inches long that was down her throat.... That sure did scare me...she acted like nothing at all was bothering her,,,just kept right on chewing....:animal36 I have also made her a couple chew toys from braided fleece. Just need to keep them busy chewing on their toys and not the furniture/shoes till the teething stage ends....:p |
What are these bully sticks that everyone is talking about? |
hello out there. new to this site and new yorkie owner. How long do these babies normally teethe |
Not sure how long it last. Mine has been going for about 2 weeks now and she only has about 3 teeth left to get rid off. I assume after that then the new teeth will grow in and she will start feeling better. However I am no expert on this situation so hopefully someone with more experience will chime in. |
How about giving her a braided bully stick? I have tried EVERYTHING with Jasper and it relly helps! |
